Babies: 0 - 3 Months

pain in right back/butt

The day before I went into labor it started. I thought it was just the stacia nerve thing. I then had a friend tell me she had the same thing a few days before her baby engaged. So I thought it would go away after dd was born. Dd is currently a week and a half old, and the pain is still there. I did have an emergency csection. Im healing ok from the c/s except that. I go to the doctor on Wednesday, so I will ask then. This pain is the only real problem I have.

Re: pain in right back/butt

  • I had back issues and they were directly related to me having diastasis recti which is separated abs. The lack of core support lent itself to back injury and issues. I was referred to a physical rehab and am currently doing physical therapy 2x a week and its really helping even though progress is fairly slow.

  • I had sciatic pain throughout my pregnancy as well and I thought it would go away as soon as LO was out...not so much.  I did some research and by 6 weeks PP, 50% of women say the sciatic pain is gone and by 12 weeks, 90% have relief.  Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do except take Motrin and maybe try a trip to the chiropractor.  I couldn't walk for the first 3 weeks after delivery.  I hope it gets better for you. I found that taking a hot bath really helped but I'm guessing since you had a c/s you can't really do that?  But if you can, I'd try a bath every day.  Also, to take the pressure off of the nerve/disc lay on the floor and put your feet up on the coffee table of couch.  That should help relieve the pain too.

GL!  I hope it gets better soon!!
