I had heartburn so bad with ds that at the end of my pregnancy I could hardly eat anything. As soon as he was born I had to have bojangles!! I ate like a pig for the next week because I was starving!!! It was glorious!!
We said goodbye to our sweet Taylor Ashley on August 8, 2012.We lost baby Noelle on May 1, 2015
Mom to Cam and Al, now expecting baby number 3, August 2016. Praying for lots of sticky baby dust!
With dd1, my sisters were on strict instructions to go pick up a DQ ice cream cake to celebrate after delivery. Dd was taken right to the NICU, and I forgot about it. But they didn't! They still went and got one, and most of us still ate some. I was determined to celebrate her birth no matter what the outcome. Plus, I wasn't allowed out of bed, so I ha nothing to do anyways.
January 2009: Goodbye TR (13 weeks)
February 2010: Welcome DD1!
March 2011: Welcome DD2!
I was working at Applebee's at the time .. So I had to order that can't remember exactly what I had for dinner but I do know I ordered a triple chocolate meltdown for dessert!!! Yumm!
XMIL brought us McDonald's and it was freezing cold by the time we got it. But, I was famished and didn't care. I polished off a quarter pounder and some fries.
I had crappy hospital food the entire next day and I won't make that same mistake this time around!
I remember whatever the hospital gave me tasting really good. I think I was just so hungry and out of it for the five days I was there that I didn't care what I ate.
I had absolutely no appetite for about 10 days after delivery. I could eat fruit though, so long as someone else cut it up for me and I didn't have do any work in preparing my food. I was just too exhausted to eat anything else. Thankfully I got a few of those giant edible arrangements from family that kept me going. I'm seriously hoping they send those again, they were amazing.
I don't remember craving anything but the hospital food was pretty good. So I kept ordering the sherbet....when I got home 4 days later I remember eating pizza and drinking a couple of beers. Forgot I was on Percocet and had no tolerance. Was in bed by 10pm passed out. (don't worry I didn't have a baby to take care of, he was still in the NICU). oops....
Right after my c/s I was put on a liquid diet for a few days. I was finally released to real food on my birthday and I requested birthday cake runny eggs. I was so happy to have something other than jello and broth that a boiled noodle would have been awesome at that point.
I was so ravenous after having been denied food for almost 24 hours that I just wanted ANYTHING. And if someone didn't bring me something soon, I was going to wonder the hospital to find food. So no, nothing special that I needed. I just wanted food. At 7am I finally got breakfast and it was wonderful :-) Eggs and toast...mmmmm...
I really couldn't care less what I ate after delivery. I just wanted something yummy and fast, and some sleep.
But this time I might request DQ cake! That sounds awesome!!

At the hospital I delivered, they already had food waiting for me when I left the delivery room. They put the tray on my lap and wheeled me to my room. So much for choices.
BUT, when my sister came by the next day, she brought cake. Birthday cake, for the new boy, that she made. (Not really "for" the new boy since he wouldn't eat it, but for his birthday.) It was SO sweet of her. And incredibly tasty. I'll never forget it.
