Forgot how to roll?

At about 3.5 months, DD rolled from her belly to her back..she did it several times on several different days, so I don't feel like it was a fluke. However, now, whenever she's put on her belly, when she wants back on her back, she just yells (and if that's ignored, cries) until someone rolls her back over. It's like she's forgotten how to roll from belly to back...this became more of an issue today because for the 1st time ever, she's rolled from back to belly today (twice in fact) but is still refusing to roll from belly to back. Anyone else's LO forgotten how to roll?

    Mine too. He did it at 3 months and didn't go from belly to back until yesterday again. He will tolerate tummy time for about 5 minutes and then yells at me.

    I try not to be too concerned since I know he CAN,he just doesn't want to. It did worry me but I decided to focus on what he does do. I think I just have a lazy little guy,lol.

    Mine does the same.  I know she can do it, I think she just or gets that she can.

    We discovered that we're at the same spot the last couple nights -- She'll roll onto her stomach and then yell for someone to come get here (see a couple posts down). I'm hoping she'll figure it out again soon.

    I dunno. DD has rolled both ways plenty of times, but she doesn't do it all the time or even every day. She's done it enough for me to know she does it purposefully, but she doesn't do it very often, ha.

    DS usually prefers his tummy to his back, so perhaps that's part of the reason is lack of desire, but yeah we have the same thing going on.  I mentioned it at his 4 month appointment and the pedi said that's common, but didn't explain why.

    Yep! Mine has done the same thing. Used to roll from tummy to back bc she doesn't like tummy time. Now she won't do it and just cries for us to move her. Glad it seems common!
