Hello Everyone. Im really Stressing out. Any advise is Great.
My HCG Levels were going okay as follows and yesterday one Suddenly DIDNT DOUBLE and only went up by 20%. Could this be bad. im so nervous. my next ultrasound is friday. No pain, no bleeding no cramping. Last u/s one week ago they were not able to see anything No sac no nothing.
Has any one ever had this type of change in there HCG Levels.
5/2 = 97.8
5/6 = 250
5/8 = 409.50
5/12= 938
5/15 = 2384
5/18 = 3911
05/21 = 4664 *****it went up by 20% compared to all the rest that were doubling before.
Re: HCG LEVELS WERE DOUBLING But One Suddenly Didnt??
This is an excellent question for your doctor. Have you put a call in and asked them to explain things?
I think it's expected for the doubling to slow down. I would not freak until you speak with your doctor, truthfully.

Can I ask why you have had so many betas? Most doctors only give 3 or until levels reach 1,000.
I am pretty sure the numbers do not continuing doubling forever and ever. Just check with your doctor and ask her if you sould be concerned.
Good luck!
Only time will tell. HCG isn't a perfect science and doubling isn't necessarily the goal, some doctors want to see it double every 72 hours. Also, as HCG rises, it's doubling time slows. Once you are in the thousands you wouldn't expect a 48 hour doubling time that most people are looking for.
That being said, your HCG hasn't really doubled the way it "should" at all. The doubling time between your first two (4 days apart) was 71 hours. It then hovered in the 70-80 hour range. Yes, it "doubled", but doubling time should be within 48 hours. Your betas seem to have been drawn 3 and 4 days apart and therefore should have more than doubled between draws.
What has your doctor been saying? A doubling hovering around 70-80 hours early on would be a red flag for ectopic in my OB practice. Your last beta between the 18-21 had a 283 hour doubling time which is very low. I would ask for an ultrasound to make sure things are where they should be. Once an HCG is above 2,000 you should technically see a sac. How far along are you?

because i have had a misscarige before. he wanted to keep track of the betas
There is no way you are 4 weeks pregnant. If your beta was that high almost 3 weeks ago you are at least 6 and a half to 7 weeks. You should CERTAINLY see something on Friday. If not, I would truly worry about ectopic.
Have they talked to you about why they have been doing so many blood draws? Have they been checking your progesterone too? Low progesterone can also signal an ectopic.
