Shingles

A March 2013 mom suggested I post here because someone on this board had shingles with a LO.  I have shingles with a 2 mo old DD.  If you have had shingles with an infant I would love some advice.  I'm doing my best to wash my hands regularly and I'm on an anti-viral that's an L2 category for breastfeeding.  This sucks so much.

    I just wanted to send some positive energy your way. My husband is recovering from shingles now. He finished up the anti-virals a couple of weeks ago. Our little one was 13 months when his rash showed up, so she was able to get the vaccine, though she might have been exposed before getting the vaccine. His rash was mostly on his back, so he managed to keep it covered and she hasn't had any signs of chicken pox. We should be in the clear now. I hope you start feeling better soon and the your little one stays healthy.
