When is your baby's last feeding for the night?

I can't remember when we stopped the last night feeding for DD#1.  With DD #2 we feed her around dinner time with solids and then she usually falls asleep around 7:30 and we end up dream feeding her around 9 or 9:30 before putting her down for the night.  What do you do?  Trying to remember when that last feeding should stop...

Re: When is your baby's last feeding for the night?

  • We feed her about 3 tbs of solids at about 7, then she gets her bottle and rocked in her room at around 8. When she's done, she goes into her crib. Although she starts falling asleep when she's taking that last bottle, when we put her in the crib she's normally awake, but drowsy. I'm probably creating some sort of sleep association doing this, but its what works for us.

  • We feed her solids [about 2 tbsp] between 6 and 7 then she gets a bottle about 30 to 60 minutes later. Its probably a bad habit but we start her bottle while holding her then we put her in the crib with the second half of her bottle. She doesn't fall asleep with the bottle, she's still awake and puts herself to sleep.

  • She nurses at 8 or 8:30 and then is down for the night until 6:15.

  • We feed her solids around 5:30, nursing afterwards and then around 6:30 we start bath/lotion/jammies/boob to sleep and she's out by 7. If she wakes MOTN I will nurse her again. Don't plan to take that away from her unless she stops actually eating.
  • Solids around 5:30-6pm, then nurse around 6:30-7pm, and then crib.  However, my LO is nowhere near STTN.

LO has solids around 5. He nurses before bed, around 615, 630. And then gets a small bottle of pumped milk. He then reads a story with daddy and then goes to bed. He usually eats once overnight, between 2 and 4. And then up for the day around 630.
