Clothes maketh the baby

Have you noticed what a big difference different colours/clothes make to your LO? My little girl is often in pink, so when she wears another colour she looks so different. I especially notice it when she wears blue - I think she still looks like a little girl, but a different little girl. Hard to explain.

Last night my DH put her into a black onesie. It was SO cute, but made her look SO different, maybe funkier or something. It's weird seeing a baby dressed in black.

  • I agree...DD had on a skirt and tank the other day and she looked like a mini toddler!  Forget about her shorts!

  • Definitely! I always think he looks so different in his pajamas. To me he looks like a "grown up" all day and then I put him in his footie pajamas and suddenly he is my little tiny baby again.

  • I agree! I think she's adorable all the time, but I think Bailey looks best in light pastel colors. And a headband. I feel like she looks so much girlier with the headband.

Yup. Any two piece outfit (like a shirt and shorts, or two piece pj outfits) make him look sooo much older! Freaks me out!

  • Jeans! She looks so much older when I put her in a pair of jeans. I also love how she looks in bright yellow. We just started swapping out her 6 mo. clothes for 9 mo. and have a few yellow outfits that look adorable on her.

  • I'm the same with O, she's usually in pink and when she wears a different color she definitely looks different. Yesterday she wore teal and it made such a difference. Headbands make a difference to. Love me some headbands. And I agree with outfits making them look older and PJ's making them look like babies.

  • So true.  I love seeing her in stuff other than pink. She rarely wears one piece PJs, but she does look so much younger when she does.

I need to increase my headband inventory.

It's true. I'm embarrassed to say that when C has a blowout at daycare and is wearing a different outfit than I brought her in, it sometimes takes me a minute to find her.

Lol this is me too. And I feel like everyone is watching me in that moment it takes to find her.

When DS wears his Oshkosh B'gosh 12 month overalls he looks like he's a toddler!
