Early Pregnancy or Wishful Thinking???

Hi everyone, I'm new to this board, but I figured you guys may be able to help me out.

Usually for a few days before and after O, my nipples get really sensitive and sore. This lasts for about 5 or 6 days total and goes away about 2-3 days before AF. (If this doesn't sound like it adds up, my luteal phase is pretty short.) Anyway, I'm 8DPO and my nipples have been sore for 10 days so far...more so than usual for the past 3 days or so.

AF is due on Friday; I've already POS, obviously jumped the gun and it was a BFN. Any thoughts? Should I try again Friday/Saturday morning? Thanks!

Test til you get a + or AF- if you don't get either after 60 days schedule a Dr. appointment.

Test once a week until your period shows, or you reach 60 days. Then call your doctor.

I can't think of a reason not to test on Friday or Saturday, so I am confused! If you are 8 dpo today, you would be 11 and 12 on Friday and Saturday and you know that you have a shorter luteal phase.

Do you chart to confirm ovulation?
I think you tested too early in general so yes retest.
And lastly symptoms of your period can change cycle to cycle so I wouldn't read too much into it

If you test before AF is due, there is a greater chance of getting an inaccurate reading. I would wait until the weekend and maybe even a day later and then testing. Then after that give it another week before testing if AF doesn't show up. And like PP said, do this until you hit 60 days, you get AF, or you get a BFP. Good luck!

If you are 8 DPO and your nipples have been sore for 10 days...that means it started 2 days before you ovulated. (Are you confirming with temps?) So, it is likely not pregnancy related.

This is my thinking.

As for testing, if you have a short LP, I'd wait to test until you pass the longest your LP has ever been, maybe plus a few days if you last that long. The only upside to a short LP is that you usually don't have to wait as long for AF to confirm that you're not pregnant, and you have a more legitimate reason to hope if it goes longer.

I've given up on temping; I don't have a very steady sleep schedule. And OPK's...I seriously think I get the reject batches, or my body is seriously screwed up. But, yes...OPK+ on 5/12, 5/13, and 5/14.

I'm addicted to POAS, so I ordered a large amount of wondfos so I can test all I want. DH told me last night that my 'pallet' of pregnancy tests had shipped.

Welcome to the board!

Like most have said, wait a few more days before testing again. It's only more torture when you test too early. If it's another BFN test weekly.
