Mothers morning out prices

I was thinking about sending DD to a mothers morning out two mornings a week next fall and then just have her babysitter come for 4-5 hours once a week like she currently does.  I was checking out the ones where DS went and am hesitating since there won't be much difference in hiring a sitter.  It ranges from $185-200 per month and that's two mornings three hrs each.  I would provide snack and personal care items.  This does not include the yearly registration fee of $100-200 depending on the site.  If I go for three days its much better at around $6/hr but I don't know if I want or need three days and the sitter...I need the sitter for the afternoon hours.  

Does this seem high? I can get a qualified sitter for $8-10 / hr. They all have raised their prices since I last checked... Also is it worth it with all the germy kids she'll be around?

    I'm not really familiar with that but if it's similar to daycare, the interaction with others her age would be good for her.

    There would be 6-8 kids I assume which is the only reason I would do it...just hate all the germs!

    I would lean toward the sitter. For moms day at you would probably pay for days you don't use. With the babysitter do you pay just for days worked? With my sister if I give her notice that I don't need her I don't pay her. If I cancel last minute then I do. You can do a library story time for socialization they are usually free.

    yes I don't pay the sitter if I don't need her and I forgot about the libraries.  There's also all the other pay activities to take LO to. DH will have to weigh in too.
