Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Teething

Dd has been teething for two months. She's had these little indents where her bottom teeth are under for a while. But twice in the last few days its been terrible for her. Like angrily gnawing on everything, rubbing her jaw and ears, not sleeping, crazy crabby. It happened all day Thursday and again yesterday. Finally at 5 yesterday I gave her Tylenol. She went to sleep at 530, I thought it was a nap, but she was out. She woke up 4 times last night, which is not normal, but today is perfectly normal again.
Ds did not act this bad. How long dud others babies do this? I know they can move up and down. Her gums are swollen and the teeth marks are more obvious.

Re: Teething

  • DD's teeth really bothered her at night more  than during the day.  She would wake up a handful of times a night for MONTHS, like from 4-9 months.  And then they started bothering her during the day more, and she would have trouble taking a bottle. We already bought a thing of Hylands teething tablets for DS.  He has been chewing on his hands and bottle.  Thank goodness he has only chewed on the bottle when he gets one and not me when he BFs!

  • I can feel a tooth! The end is near! Well until the top teeth make their appearance.
