Burping ?

When I EBF DD didn't burp after every feeding.  Now that she's FF I'm wondering if I should keep trying to burp her until I get something or if she still won't burp every time?  I was trying to burp her mid bottle and I didn't get anything but she did a big burp with a little spit up after she'd finished the bottle.

DS didn't burp much when he was BF, but now that he's EFF, we burp him every ounce to minimize his spit up. Sometimes we get good loud burps, other times they're very small. Every once in a while, he won't burp at all. And sometimes it takes up to 10 minutes before he lets anything out.

  • I breastfeed, but when we give Rhys a bottle, I try to burp him at every ounce or so. He always burps, though. I would at least try for ten minutes, since you probably want to keep him upright for that long after eating, anyway. Then if LO still doesn't burp, I wouldn't stress about it.
