We had an u/s today to get some measurements of the baby. Last week my Dr said I was measuring big and mentioned induction. But all looks good! He said the baby is about 7 lbs and looks great.?
I mentioned how miserable I've been...swollen feet, sharp back spasms, butt cramps, etc. I'm a teacher and being on my feet all day has really taken its toll. He sympathized and said that next week he'd strip my membranes. I really hope this will help! Anyone have experience with this?

My cousin had hers done and went into labor the next day.
But my SIL had hers done 3 times and it did nothing.
My friend had it done and it didn't do anything (and she said it was quite painful...sorry, but that's what she said!).
I guess it only hastens things if you are "ready". If not, nothing will happen. I'm sorry you are so uncomf so I hope it works for you and you get to meet your baby soon!
No experience for me- this is our first baby. I just wanted to say good luck & that I hope things get moving for you. I sympathize with the being on your feet all day. I'm a floral designer, and you really can't do much sitting down.
