My doula told me for FTM it's 41 week plus one...so we shall see! I am doing a natural birth so I will probably start doing natural things to bring on labour when my doula gives me the go ahead
On average a FTM/babies come late, now with that said. Each women, each baby, each pregnancy is different. There is no prediction on when you will go into labor.
I was 39 weeks on the nose with DS. No signs of labor, either.
I was checked at my appt and was barely a fingertip dialated, the same as the week before. As I was getting dressed after my appt, my water broke in the Dr's office. 8 hours later, DS was in my arms

Well if its gonna break, that is the best place for it to happen LOL
I had some serious blood pressure issues so she was taken at 38 weeks. I do not think my body would have allowed her to stay in much longer than that.

I was one day shy of my due date when my son was born (water broke the day before). OB would have induced me a few days later if he hadn't come on his own. I think it is typical for OBs to wait until around 41 weeks for induction if there aren't any other health concerns.

Re: Delivery at how many weeks for FTM??
I was always told the norm in the US without intervention is 8 days past due.
I had my first at 37w4d with no complications or issue.
Yes, I have a blog and it's hilarious (except when it's not)

I wouldn't say I'm in the norm, but here ya go.
DD1: 32wks
DD2: 36wks
DD3: maybe I'll continue in the pattern and make it all the way? we shall see.
DS was born at 38w, 1d, on our 1 year wedding anniversary!
Hopefully this little girl will stay in until my due date!
