DH works 2nd shift. So he is home with Allison from when I leave in the morning (6:30) until he leaves for work at 2:00. For some reason, in the almost 8 hours he is home with her, he can't get his act together and go grocery shopping. We usually go on the weekend but he was OOT and I was busy so it didn't happen this week. So I had to take a tired, hungry, cranky baby to the grocery store after work yesterday - the shelves were empty and Allison was so tired that she cried the whole time. It sucked.
That aside, he is feeding her the exact same meals just about every day. String cheese, hot dog, grapes and yogurt. WTH? Are you incapable of making anything else? Eggs? Pancakes? Last night's leftovers? For real? I do not have time at night to prep our dinners, Allison?s breakfast and lunch, my lunch and clean the house.
I have less than 4 hours after I get home until I go to bed so I can MAYBE get 7 hours of sleep. Of those 4 hours, 2 of them are with Allison, it is all I get so I want to play with her. We play, she eats dinner, then bath and bedtime. Then I come back downstairs to make my dinner, lunch for the next day and something for him for lunch/dinner the next day. Then I try to clean something - but not vacuum because that wakes up Allison - and spend 30 minutes or so watching TV to unwind before getting ready for bed.
In four hours, I do more than he does in 8. AND he still has Allison taking two naps a day - for about a total of 3 hours. No wonder she wakes up so damn early...
Sorry, I know this was long and venty but it is really starting to bug me. He acts like he is sacrificing so much by only getting like 6 hours of sleep - I know, it sucks...I did all the night time wakeups for the last year because he was at work. So I know how tired he is. But come on! Vacuum the damn carpet or something.
Every once in a while, he will do something like clean the toilets...and I hear about it for days afterward.
Re: Whiney Tuesday? I have one...
AHHH!!! YES! DH has like 3 go-to meals and I get so flipping sick of them...Then he complains about dinner being the same every week. Well, yeah...when you only pick three meals over and over and each of those is used for leftovers you will get the same stuff every week. Open a cookbook and find something new! (we are each responsible for choosing 3 meals every week)
That....is disgusting...
I recently got promoted and I hate my new job. I supervise 7 people who all act like babies. One of them wanders away from his desk all the time and texts all day. Managment's solution is for me to keep track of how often he is goofing off. Because I have time for this?
And we are hiring to fill another position and only found 2 resumes of people worth interviewing. One lady was great, the other can't respond to emails or voicemails timely so we can't even set up the interview. Huge fail!
Its so aggravating because when my current employees slack off and are whiny, I can't even think about replacing them because there are no good candidates out there.
Sorry you're having a rough Tuesday. I NEVER go grocery shopping alone with DD, so I kinda feel his pain, sorry. Thinking outside the box is apparently too difficult for my DH as well. Sky eats pancakes, waffles and or a banana every morning because DH doesn't make her anything else. I refuse to be on breakfast duty because I make lunch and am on evening duty alone every day. I pre-make Sky's lunch every day and DH asks EVERY day what he's supposed to put in the bag. I think he has a mental block.
I don't want to do any work, I don't know why I feel so lazy. I'm hungry, but don't feel like going to the microwave to warm my lunch. I want to buy Skyler a playhouse and a kitchen, but they are both expensive and no one in our area is selling a good one on Craigslist right now.
I'm quickly outgrowing my pre preg pants (most of them i'm already wearing the belly band with, but it's terribly uncomfortable). I really want to go out and get some new loose dresses and a couple pair of maternity summer pants (I never bought any last pregnancy because I didnt outgrow my pants this soon) but I know money is tight with us building the house.
My Colton...Growing up so fast!
And Coralee, his baby sister...On the way!
DH and I were having scary movie night tonight.
We came across a movie called Uninhabited on Netflix, rated 5 stars.
WTH that was the most stupid movie I have ever seen.
