Man we are so stuck on girl names! DH does not like calliope or calista at all, but he likes Callie. I think it's growing on me and isn't so baby girl like some other ie or y ending names... WDYT?
I know two adult Callies. If they have other formal names, I've never heard them. They're just your average nice everyday people - one's a nutritionist and one's a bank teller.
I definitely think of it as a stand alone name. Much less stuffy that Calista or Calliope in my opinion. I know 2 Callie's IRL. One just turned 2 and the other is in her early 30's.
Re: Callie as stand alone name?
Agreed!

Calla is cute too, thanks.
I have a cousin Callie, her real name is Caroline
cute nickname, solid name for an adult.
I personally think it screams nick name.
Do you like Calista or Calliope?

Yes I do, but DH hates them both.
I agree.
My friend's daughter is just Callie. On one hand, it's cute. On the other hand...it's cute.
I'm not sure it will age well.
They almost named her Calla Lily.
I think this. Wouldn't have thought of Caroline.
I think it can be a stand alone name. I know an adult Callie and I think it's fine.

She's only 3 though...not sure how it will age.
