DW and I are going out for Mexican tonight. We live walking distance to a quaint little town with what seems like 100 restaurants and bars on Long Island. So we love when the weather gets nice. Saturday we r having a bunch of friends for a BBQ. Sunday, church and relax!

Question: so I have given up alcohol for my 2ww and I don't want people to notice at the BBQ. How should I cover it up?

I'll chime in and say after a long week away from home and S for work, we are closing on our house today! Finally! And although we are not officially moving until next Friday, we will be stopping by the house and finalizing paint colors and ceiling fans this weekend. All very exciting! We are also going to buy our new furniture tomorrow for the living room. Things are finally coming together and we'll be out of this teeny temp place in no time. : I've definitely been m.i.a. This week due to my Cali trip, but glad to back. Good luck to MK today and sharing the news! Very exciting!!!! I can't believe you are already 12 weeks!!!

Exciting weekend for us. After many years and late nights my spouse is graduating with her accounting Degree. It took some time with all the things we had gone through but her day is finally here :) So Saturday we will sit through the grad ceremony on Saturday then a nice lunch with the family. Sunday is our CD10 ultrasound to measure eggs and see how all the insides are looking gearing up for next IUI.

Married in September 2010, started TTC journey November 2012

    Me-

    7 IUI- 2 CP- 2 BFN

RPL blood work 12/27, showed a balance translocation in chromosome 11;22

    Spouse-

    PCOS 4 IUI-4 BFN

New Plan: Reciprocal IVF, me as carrier wife's eggs. Just went through insurance and received partial approval, so my part will go through my IVF benefits and wife's part will be out of pocket. Now just finalizing finance plans to cover the oop costs. Doctors office is in process of moving to a new building so there are no IVF start ups until March/April 2015.

    Oh thank gawd it's friday!!!!

Thankful:  Today I finally got our summer students hired and confirmed.  Holy smokes that was a long process.  They start Tuesday.

This weekend is a long weekend here in Canada, so I have an extra day to catch up and get ahead I hope.   We don't have a ton of "special" stuff planned, but I'm looking forward to some free time for sure!

On my to-do list for the weekend:

    - Get my bike on the road!  (bicycle, that is!)  I would also like to start training our dog to walk/jog alongside the bike without being a freak about it...

    - Get my course lectures sorted, finished and organized

    - Get supplies for my summer students for when I'm gone (must-do today actually)

    - Start cleaning out my closet of clothes that don't fit.

    - Figure out a work-plan for next week for my summer staff....

Tonight I have to cover a guitar concert at my school and then the wife and I are doing a home movie night and pulling out the bed on the couch for something a little different.  Tomorrow we will be going shopping (which we both hate) BUT it is for a dress to wear to her mom's wedding!!! We are planning on spending the day out and about after that just to see what we can get into.  Sunday Funday! We are going to sleep in, lay around, walk the dogs, then off to play in our softball playoffs!

Whew...need a good couple of days with my wife!

I, personally, would just tell people I was feeling under the weather lately and want to give my body a chance to reboot or you could state that you are the DD

I announced at work today! It feels early but I had to say something because people knew I was trying and I'm starting to show... So here is how we did it:

    image

I was super nervous but everybody was excited and it was fun. The boss sad with a smile plastered on her face and refused a cupcake. Oh well, she'll come around... I'm sure the talk will be coming very soon about my work expectations as my pregnancy progresses, but for now I'm enjoying this moment and believing our baby is coming in November!

I have to work tomorrow at graduation, and then I have some wedding stuff organization to do. I just can't wait to relax.

Thanks 2Mamaz and firstcomeslove! The news has spread now at work and I'm getting lots of positive feedback and excitement from my coworkers. Today is a good day! Boss was all smiles when I passed her this morning. Our one on one this week I will lay out my plans for continuing to contribute to the department during my pregnancy and after maternity leave (hoping to cut down on travel, and contribute in other ways!)

I think that having a good and already thought out plan will impress your boss...things change and sometimes people are more receptive when you have a plan in mind! My fingers are crossed for a receptive meeting!!!
