congrats!!! Is your sig. still up to date? you're adopting from China? Which agency are you using?
We adopted our son from Korea 9 months ago through Holt international. And we're thnking about maybe adopting a little girl at some point through the china program.... just curious!
After 2 years of IF workups/treatments and 2 IUIs, we have closed the door on fertility treatments. We are very excited to be pursuing international adoption from China!

After 1 IUI, 3 IVF's with CGH/CCS testing, 10 early miscarriages, and lots of tears and frustration, we are moving on to Domestic Infant Adoption! We are so excited to see what the future holds.

Yep, it is up to date on that. We are adopting a toddler from China's minor/correctable special needs program. We are using Holt International. The current time frame is estimated at 12 to 18m through our program, so we are hoping for our little guy to be home with us by the end of next year.
Congrats, Ellekae! That must feel so great to be actually applying and starting the paperwork! Welcome to the wild ride!
I'm a dance studio owner, writer, cat mommy, and adventuress who is married to the man of her dreams.
My husband and I have had a long-time dream to adopt and it's happening in a way that we didn't quite anticipate. But, like any move of God, it's turning out way better than we expected.
We'd love for you to follow our story at www.kirstenkline.com!

thats awesome!!! congrats again!! and, as somebody who just completed an adoption with Holt International I have nothing but amazing things to say about them! there were some delays/changes with the korea program while we were in the process, but they were awesome with it and keeping us up to date. all the staff was awesome ( we're in NJ so you're probably working with the same "home office" as we did- Lisa is the director??). and i just love how the agency offers so many webinars, camps, programs, etc once the kids are home. i definitely don't feel like "ok, we got you your kid--- see ya later!" they really like to make sure the kids do well throughout their whole lives. So, yeah, good pick with the agency :-)
and keep posting here as you go through the process! can't wait to see it all play out for you! let me tell you- your little guy will be such a gift to you! :-)
