has anyone ever heard of or know of anyone that have lost some of their teeth during pregnancy cause the baby took all their calcium that they took in?!
it happened to my friends aunt. she said it was cause her baby took all the calcium that she took in. and I've asked other people and they said they heard of it before.
I have prenatals that the dr gave me but I haven't started taking them yet cause they're gonna make me even more nauseated than I already am, and I just can't handle that right now.
I have heard that pregnant women tend to have dental issues after pregnancy who had bad ms and throwing up. It's from all the stomach acid coming back up. But it's more like cavities... Not losing your teeth... Hadnt heard that one before.

I take gummy vitamins and drink lots of milk but they do have calcium chews that you can take if you don't like milk or think you're not getting enough calcium.
It happened back in the old days I believe. If you can't take your prenatals{which it doesn't sound like you've tried, just that you think it could make you sick} drink lots of milk and eat lots of cheese. I'm sure you'll be fine.

The prenatals my dr gave me made me instantly throw up. I take Rainbow Lite prenatals from Target (or Amazon). They are vegan so they are extremely easy on your stomach. I'm not vegan but I was looking for something gentle on the stomach. I take them right before bed with water and haven't had any problems.
You really should be taking something. DHA has been shown to drastically decrease the risk of spinal issues in babies when taken in the first trimester. It reduces the risk by 75%! Just an FYI

You NEED to start these. There are a whole host of birth defects that are prevented by good nutrition, and prenatals are an important part of that. They are most important in the first trimester when spine/brain development is key!
I have heard of dental issues, though none as severe as losing your teeth. I think you'll be fine if you are taking care of your oral health now. If you're still not sure, go get a check-up.

I JUST had this conversation wih my mom this weekend..she said my grandmother did but don't freak out that was almost 60 years ago!!! She said as long as you're getting enough calcium and going to the dentist for regular check ups you'll be fine. Ask your ob if there's anything else you should/can be doing. I'm not worried, but it's in he back of my mind for sure..I love my teeth, I want to keep them!!

I would at least start taking gummy prenatals. I have my prescrip prenatals with DHA my doc prescribed, but on the days I'm too nauseated to handle those, I take the gummies. I can always get those down, plus they contain DHA as well.
Make sure you get to the dentist at least once while pregnant, and twice would be ideal. You'll be fine. It is important to stay on top of your oral health because the hormones can wreak havoc on your gums.
I took it for granted that everything would be fine, but when I was breastfeeding, my OB asked me if I was taking my prenatals religiously. I told her 'no' and she told me to keep them up because she had seen women loss their teeth because they did not have enough calcium. This was a few days after I had knocked one of my front teeth loose when I smacked it with the handle of a hand cart. Boy was I freaked out!
Take some calcium supplements if you can not stand the prenatals yet.
My friends mom had fillings fall out during here pregnancy. Yes, it was 30 years ago, but best to be careful and get regular dental check-ups along with enough calcium.
So this does happen and is called tooth resorption. I understand it to be rare, and doesn't have much to do with your body needing calcium just an unusual reaction to pregnancy from your immune system. Only reason I know about it is because a coworker lost a few teeth with her first baby for this reason.

Ok, this is not a stupid question at all.
