Another light BFP...

Taken with a pink test 30 minutes ago after I talked to the nurse that was so mean to me. It made me want to test again. I read this one within the 10 minute limit. It is so light in the picture but is slightly darker and more pink IRL. My phone camera really sucks! What are the chances of me having two false positives?

    Truthfully, I can't tell, but I am the WORST with reading pregnancy tests, so I'm not sure I'm going to be much help. I can, however, help with the rude nurse issue. Do NOT let her give you grief or flack about anything. She does not understand what it's like to be in your shoes and the overwhelming, all-consuming feelings of uncertainty. I would call right back and reiterate to her how important it is for you to get what you want (I'm assuming a blood test) so that you can have peace of mind. 

    I know this is TERRIBLE, so I apologize in advance, but sometimes I feel like people who are nice and friendly get dumped on by rude people, but when you dish back that rudeness and call them on it, then they lighten up. I don't know, maybe some people don't realize they are being rude. Maybe they have their own issues going on, so don't feel badly about calling up and demanding you get the service you deserve as a paying "customer" so to speak.

    7/2013 - IUI #1: 50 units Follistim +  Ovidrel  = BFN
    8/2013 - IUI #2: 50 units Follistim +  Ovidrel  = BFP! Beta #1 (12 dpiui) 8/21: 45  Beta #2 (16 dpiui) 8/26: 301 Beta #3 (21 dpiui) 8/30: 1,929. 1st Ultrasound 9/4 - One perfect sac. 2nd Ultrasound 9/13 - Heartbeat at 124 bpm! Anniversary

    It definitely looks positive to me, just very faint.  I agree with pp, and would push for a beta!   Good luck and keep us posted!!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    I see it! I hope this it...... I'm sorry for the rude nurse. I feel that way sometimes too. FX for you .

    It's so hard to see. But the chances of two false positives is so slim. If your nurse won't do anything just keep testing to see if it gets darker. I hope it does and that it's a true BFP!!

    My RE just called back and I'm going to head in for blood work but the nurse gave him so much misinformation and he was also rude to me. I told him my story and he said "well maybe the nurse got mixed up because, you know, she does talk to a lot of people. If you want a beta done then come on in but it's not going to make you more or less pregnant or mean this will be a viable pregnancy. WTF? I have been with him since 2004. He has always been compassionate until a couple of months after we started trying this go round. I'm going to go in and have the blood work, see if everything doubles then find a new doctor asap!

     Yikes! I'm sorry....no one deserves to be treated that way!  I hope you get your BFP and the reassurance you need and then a new RE....pronto!

    5/07 - DD conceived naturally cycle #1

    8/09 - Started TTC #2
    11/10 - BFP!
    12/10 - MC (Chemical Pregnancy)
    2/11 - IUI #1 with clomid & trigger = BFN
    5/11- Switched to a Fertility Specialist, Dx with low progesterone and annovulatory, several rounds of
             clomid = BFN's
    4/12 - Exploratory Lap, Dx Stage III endo
    5/12 - 7/12 - Lupron injections to suppress AF and reduce scar tissue
    8/12 - Surgery to remove tissue, uterus and tubes clear!
    9/12-12/12 - More BFN's!
    1/13 - Referred to an RE
    2/13 - IUI #1 with injects and new RE = BFN
    3/13 - 4/13 - Break due to cysts
    5/13 - IUI #2 with injects (125ml bravelle + trigger) = BFP!!!
    EDD - 1/23/14

    Thanks ladies! I should know my beta in the morning but he refused to check my progesterone even that has been a main issue for me in the past. It's like he's forgotten my history or something. It's crazy but as soon as I can I'll be finding a new doctor!

    I hate doctors for this very reason!  They drive me crazy when they act like they know your body better than you do.  Ugh!  I hope it really is a positive bfp!! Please keep us posted!
