pregnancy pilates/yoga

I am due with twins in September. I am in constant pain in my low back/pelvic area and looking for relief. Prior to getting pregnant I was fairly active, working out 3-4 Times a week and a SAHM of an almost 2 year old. I have been so sick and tired throughout that I stopped working out all together minus the occasional walk. Weather has also been a limiting factor for outdoor activities up until now. Walking is now proving to be difficult for any length of time. I see my chiropractor regularly, tried massages, have tried 4 different support belts, none worked, live on my heating pad, take warm baths (when possible with a little one), Tylenol when desperate, and have limited what I lift, child included. I am a big fan of Pilates and starting to like yoga. I am hoping to find relief through working out.  Has anyone tried/used any DVD' s they would suggest? I am hoping gentle stretching and light exercise will help my pain. (Already discussed with my Dr and have the OK). Taking classes somewhere is not an option, we live to far out of town so it will have to be at home. Thanks!

  • I'm really liking 10 minute solution prenatal Pilates. It has 5 10 min segments that you can mix n match. I'm looking for a good prenatal yoga DVD.

  • healthy baby healthy me ( I think that is the name) is a pre-natal yoga DVD which is fairly easy and includes a lot of stretches. I don't feel like it is much of a work out but the stretches feel great. It is 50 minutes but is broken into segments so you can do what feels right to you. Good luck!
