Anyone else SO out of breath

I am out of breath all the time.  Even just sitting.  And I feel so exhausted 24 hours a day.  I don't feel like doing anything.    I never had this with my first.  Any advice?

  • Yes! I was in pretty decent running shape, but I've already given up running. I'm just happy to be able to walk for a couple of miles without throwing up or passing out.

    Good luck!

  • Me too!  I told my husband yesterday, "I'm just so out of breath all the time!"  My two main symptoms are being COMPLETELY exhausted and a very occasional sore boob.  I've never been this tired in my life.  I hope we both get some relief after the 1st trimester!
  • I've been out of breath since about 6 weeks or so...climbing stairs is the worst. I try to hide it by breathing through my nose, but then my nostrils get all flared and I look dumb. It's kind of annoying! And I wasn't in bad shape before!
I promise to never forget that this little dude deserves just as much love after the baby comes as he has now.

My Dh told me yesterday that I sounded like a fat kid at fat camp lol. I can't even sing a song to DS with out getting winded. I read it's from increased blood flow to your lungs.

  • I am but I have a circulatory condition that I think pregnancy is exacerbating.  I can't really walk around very much w/out getting both out of breath & also lightheaded.  I'm not out of breath while sitting though, I would prob mention that to my dr just to see what they say.  I'm sure it's normal but never hurts to ask.

  • Me too!  I thought it was just me.  I was semi out of shape pre-pregnancy, so  just figured that was why.  I get winded just walking around the house!

I've been that way too. Especially at the beginning week 4 to 6. But I've been trying to push through. I was a marathon runner before and have to cut back a little but still trying to stay in running shape. It's tough though, especially when feeling nauseous and tired!
  • No advice... I'm in the same boat.  I am out of breath with a headache constantly.  I thought I was just dehydrated, but I don't think I could hydrate anymore. I drink soooo much water. I hate having absolutely zero energy.  Reading aloud to my students winds me. :(

  • Totally, I am a school psychologist and was giving a student a cognitive test today. I swear I was out of breath from reading long testing protocol.
