Monday with Clomid...

Today is day 4 of Clomid. I am so excited for this weekend BUT I am not a happy camper right now. It's so humid in this office. I am having hot flashes left and right, and I haven't slept well in a few days. Also today is Monday...need I say more. No

    The humidity is terrible. 

    Sorry you are having a rough clomid day.  I haven't been on Clomid but I did 6 months of Lupron and had lots of hot flashes.  If you get them often you might try getting one of those neck ties for runners that you get wet and put it around your neck and it stays cool for hours.  I used them when I was having hot flashes with the Lupron and it worked wonders!

    Lap and Hysteroscopy June 2012

    DX: PCOS, Stage III Endo, slight Adenomyosis, blocked tube, and probable LPD

    Treatments:  6 Months Lupron Depot injections; 1500 mg metformin; 3 cycles of Clomid + TI = BFN

    3 endometrial biopsies all were "out of phase" 

    September - December, 2013:  Break to lose weight and get healthy

    40 lb weight loss but still not ovulating "in phase"  

    February - March 2014: bcps + follistim + trigger + TI = BFP

     Beta #1 (12dpo): 30; Beta #2 (18dpo): 500; Beta #3 (25dpo): 7,000!!! 

    1st u/s 4/16: One beautiful hb at 144 bmp 

    2nd u/s 4/29: hb at 166 bmp.  Graduated from RE!!

    That's a good idea. Thanks for the helpful info. This weekend is my first IUI, and so I am super excited! So the good out weighs the bad. But still blah on Monday's!

    Clomid was hell even in January for me so I can't imagine how bad the hot flashes are in hot, humid weather. You have my complete sympathy. I hope your day gets better.

    Age: Me 26, DH 27, Married Oct. 10, 2009 ,TTC since March 2012
    Problem: Irregular menstruation, unexplained
    Nov&Dec-Provera because of no period after 35+ days
    First RE appt 1/10/2013
    Tests: TSH (normal), Prolactin (normal), SA (abnormal)
    Hysteroscopy (normal) and PCOS labs (negative/normal) 1/15/2013
    2/1/13- HPT BFP but Beta Hcg was negative
    Plan: Femara + Trigger + IUI in April if no real BFP before then Bloggy Blog!

    Yikes! Try to focus on the weekend - good things to come! I am on day 3 of my clomid (out of the 5 days - day 3-7) and we are also scheduled for our first IUI next week! Crazy coincidences! This is my 3rd time on clomid, but first time at 100mg, so I'm really feeling it this time. Hot as hell, rough nights, crazy dreams and just plain tired. Hang in there! Fingers crossed it will be worth the wait!
    30 yrs, healthy & TTC since April 2010 
    DH 32yrs & healthy
    *unexplained infertility* 

    Regularly access alternative medicine to supplement a lack of resources in our geographical area.
    • Three rounds of clomid (50mg days 3-7) were useless.
    • IUI#1 w/clomid & HCG in May 2013, BFN.
    • IUI#2 w/clomid & HCG on July 23rd. BFN.
    • IUI #3 in August cancelled last minute, due to lab error.
    • IVF#1 - Started Gonal F stims October 13 2013 for IUI. Over-responded with too many follicles, so converted to IVF. Retrieval October 29th - got 5 eggs, 4 fertilized. Had 2 perfect little embryos transferred on day 3 (Nov. 1). The remaining 2 didn't survive to freeze. Got our BFN on November 13th 2013.
    • IVF#2 - Started stims August 21st. Triggered with Suprefact, started on dostinex due to risk of OHSS. Retrieval September 5th - got 27 eggs! 21 embryos on day 3. Embryos deteriorated quickly. ESet 5day blast on Sept 10. No embryos high enough quality to freeze. BFN came Sept. 22.

    Reserved a semi-known proven donor in August .

    Waiting for consult/screening and protocols with estimated fresh cycle timing in October

    Ugh, yuck.  I think it's humid everywhere right now.  I just finished my clomid Wed. higher dose than I've taken before and I had wicked hot flashes worse at night.  I was a crazy anxious mess!!  I hope it cools down and/or your hot flashes stop soon.

    Today is my Sunday  :):) but then I work 8 12's in a row *gag* :(
