So out of my element! (vent advise)
We've been out of the Corps now for a little over a month nothing has been smooth about the transition to reserve or what have you (basically a recall list for the next 3 yrs) He's working and seems happy I just don't know how long I can keep all the balls in the air I'm fighting to get insurance since we didn't get TAMP and no one else seems to wanna take on a pregnant lady at a normal price. Hell even Humana the company that I guess is or transition to insurance wants to charge an insane amount. What do I do??
-Oh yeah his insurance don't kick in till a month after baby is born (due)

We were told we didn't qualify since he was EASing not MedSep. I seriously don't know what to do I'm do in 5 weeks and I really don't think it has sunk in on him yet. I just don't know what to do any more I finally hit my breaking point on all of this.
I would get to the Medicaid office ASAP.
Also, is he in the Reserves or the IRR? Does he go to drill or not? If he does not drill and is in the IRR, I would have him look into joining a Reserve unit. It helps the transition immensely. It's also a couple hundred extra dollars every month.
I agree with this! If he was active reserves you could get tri care reserve.
We are fighting for Medicaid he had 45 leave days we sold back they keep looking at that as a paycheck I hope as soon as I send them his pay stub they see we are getting paid from the new job and that will help us. I hate that it seems that as soon as we got out any and all help just left us. I didn't think we would have to fight for care I've missed over a month of care and we can't afford at the moment to pay out of pocket for my care. It's going to be insane if we have to cover delivery and all. He hasn't been called in for drill yet we don't know if he will be how do I find out more?? We have all military privileges except. medical
Is he an active reservist or irr though? If he's an active reservist you can pay to have Tricare Reserve.

You should talk to him about going active reserves. It's only 1 weekend a month and a 2 week training every year. Not sure what rank he is but when I did reserves I took home about 300 after taxes and dental coverage, I was an e5. You could use that extra money to pay for tricare reserve.
While this is an option, it is not all puppies and rainbows. It is not always one weekend a month and two weeks a year. Especially if he were to want to progress further in his career. In my 9 years in the Guard(similar concept as reserves) I have been on a 15 month deployment and have over 5 years of active federal service. I know two Marine reservists, both have been deployed and had several different training periods longer than two years. It's a great option and I love being in the Guard but realize it is not always what the poster says.

Well it also depends on branch and mos. I was a Mass Communication Specialist and there wasn't a big demand for them to be deployed. everyone I knew in the reserves that got deployed chose to be deployed, no one was voluntold. it may not always be puppies and rainbows but nothing really ever is in the Military. I was giving the OP what I think is a good option for getting health benefits.
With all the troops being pulled out of the middle east and downsizing on the Military it's unlikely he would be deployed anyway....not impossible just unlikely.
