I currently have an ergo performance and DD is not a huge fan. I think it's partly because she can't really see well. What carriers do you like or dislike and why? If your LO hated the ergo but liked a different carrier please share your experience. It is very difficult to take DD places because she screams so I'm willing to spend whatever it takes to help keep her happy. We also plan to take a plane trip soon and need to find something she likes. I recently posted something similar on my BMB, but I'm hoping to get a little more feedback before I spend the money on a second carrier. Thanks!
Re: Best baby carrier for this age range
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
I have a Moby, Ergo and Boba. The Boba and Ergo are very similar but different in subtle ways. It has some cool features to it (like foot straps for older kids for a back carry). The pocket the baby sits in is a bit wider. My boy seems to be really comfortable in it.
I'm a wrapper (woven wraps). I had an ergo still from DS1 but DS2 hated it every time I tried it (didn't mind when DH wore it with him in it), I'm assuming it was because when I wore it the straps cut in front of his face.
I much prefer wrapping because I can do so many different things with one piece of cloth and that same piece of cloth can be used to carry either kid (DS1 is 3 so if we were more in to SSCs I'd have to have separate sizes for each kid).
So many options. It's hard to choose what I'm going to buy as my second carrier.
Ncbelle from the AP board has a lot of good info on those on her blog.
