I'm a ftm,
I want to do something small but special for my husband to celebrate becoming a new dad in July!
Any suggestions??
For my first Father's Day with H while pregnant with DD I made my husband's favorite breakfast foods then I got him movie tickets. We went to see the movie and then bummed around the house.
I got him a card and a onesie for LO that said "I've got the best Daddy".
For the second Father's Day (with DD as an outside baby) he and DD went for a Father-Daughter Play date to an inflatable world play place. Then we went to Daddy's favorite restaurant for dinner. I went along but just to supervise /wink. He loves time to himself with DD so I just let them be.
This year I have to ask him what he would like to do. I'm going to surprise him with a scrapbook and card, but I wanted to see if there was anything special he wanted to do with DD. I got a onesie for Alex that says, "my dad can pwn your dad" (Warcraft reference because H and are WoW-heads).
Think about what he likes and what you can personalize. Either way I'm sure it will be fun for him to get something from you because the consideration is key!
Dh is a big Bruins fan. I found a Bruins shirt that says dad on the back with the number one. I'm getting him this to wear at the hospital after dd is born.
I am getting my husband some books to read to our son that are all about dad and child, like "daddy Hugs" and a few other board books. I am also giving him a little stash of cash reserved for going to grab a beer with the guys since money will be tight when I stop working after baby comes. I wanted to get him something to bond with our son/ family time and something just for him. Something to give him a break every now and then too. We both feel that our marriage and our friendships are important to maintain as well.
I'm a FTM too :
But I'm getting him a camera! Cuz he doesn't own one and I figured it would be better than always taking pics as vids off of his phone when baby comes! And maybe matching outfits for baby and him :
I had planned on getting DH a camera for Father's Day but he got me one for Mother's Day so now i'm SOL!
I did order him a onesie from Etsy that has an image of thick-rimmed black glasses hanging from the neck (just like the ones he wears) for the baby to give him and a card... I'm stumped on the rest but got some good ideas from you ladies I'll probably just make him some crazy dinner- that man loves to eat!

Love this! I may steal it for a Father's Day idea. So cute. My hubby loves energy drinks and chocolate. It's perfect.
