Where in Houston did you live?
We live in Humble, but when we first moved here, we lived off of San Felipe just inside the loop (really close to the Galleria).
Do you like Houston or Austin better?

We went to Rice so we lived inside the loop close to campus. Before I married DH I had an apartment in Braeswood and then Montrose. After we married I moved into his house at 45 and Telephone, near his office. DH's company moved up near IAH, so before we moved to Austin our plan was to move to Humble or Atascosita. We could have been neighbors.
I miss Houston in a nostalgic kind of way, and we still visit often, but Austin has been an amazing fit for us. There are so many parks and green spaces, the lakes are beautiful, and the mosquitos haven't been as bad! However, I would have more job opportunities that are relevant to what I'm interested in (medical research) in Houston. Austin is very tech oriented which is great for DH, but I'm not sure what I'll do here when I decide to enter the workforce.
How long have you been in Houston? Do you like it?
Sorry! I typed a response last night but then the bump went down. Grr!
We have been in Houston for about 5 years. I really like that there is so much here in terms of restaurants, shopping, theater, etc, but I miss having 4 seasons-although it is great when there are beautiful days in January.. We are probably here for the long haul so it's in my best interest to like it
