I rarely post lately but in the few recent posts I have read about nap time I'm seeing words like "3rd" nap,,, which I can't say I even remember eliminating because I'm not positive it ever existed with my daughter ! She started off a rocked napper for a while but somehow, suddenly became an excellent 2 time a day, 2-3 hour napper. Recently I've pushed her to the limit and made her get through excruciating experiences (for me) like the dreaded zoo. I can't stand the zoo,... Anyway.. She happily sat through the experience & smiled the entire time, napped 20 minutes in the car then stayed up til her early bedtime of 6:30 that night.
Shes been screwing around a lot in her crib for an hour & a half, happily playing and babbling but has been skipping her afternoon nap. She's exhausted by 6:30 on those days, but happy as ever and eats & drinks well.
My question is, if you are transitioning to one nap, if there's anyone out there(!!!) then how do you do it?
My kid wakes around 6:30 or 7 am & I keep napping her at a normal morning time of 10ish to find that she won't nap in the afternoon but is quite tired by bedtime and resembles a puppy on Benadryl. How do you keep them up to kind of centralize a mid day nap?
Re: Anyone's lo on to 1 nap?
My LO wakes at 5:45am. Naps at 8 am for an hour, 12:00 for 45 min and 4:00 for 45 min. I would love one big long nap instead.
Anyway no help here
He used to take a morning nap around 1030 then an afternoon nap around 2 that both lasted about and hour and half tops!
I like that he's taking one long nap now. The only downside is that if I don't put him down for the night around 7pm he's gets so fussy now when before he could make it until closer to 8pm. Good luck!
