Clogged tear ducts?

At 1:30 ish last night, Hallie woke up and both her eyes were matted shut with pus. She was able to get them open on her own aftee some work, but I felt so bad for her. Sje has a slight cold and I read about clogged tear dUcts being a possible culprit. Anyone ever had this issue.

    As a newborn he had this. We would find him with his eyes like that sometimes. We noticed he constantly had goo that we were wiping away. I. Put a warm washcloth on his eyes a few times a day and it went away.

    This morning her eyes were clear and looked fine. Hopefully it was just a one time issue, but if not I'll try using some warm washclothes. Thank you!

    this is going to sound odd, but if you put a little breast milk in the corners of you LO's eyes, that should help.

    Yes that's what I forgot! Did it occasionally.
