  If your going to be holding her get her a plain swimsuit and maybe a floatie for the pool that she can sit in

  My daughter couldn't wear a puddle jumper 'till last year and she's big for her age.  If the child is too small it comes up against the chin.  The puddle jumper is what allowed me to take both kids to the pool all last summer by myself.  They are coast guard approved also.  I see they also make a swim suit one which is also coast guard approved.  They are all 30-50lbs.

  Just regular bathing suits. Unless it's a private pool, you likely can't use Pfds anyway.

  We ran into this issue since we went to community pools - no floaties allowed at all. If you'll be at a community pool, check what they allow before purchasing.

  We just used a regular swim suit, and DS was perfectly fine. I did have an inner tube he could sit in for when we went to the beach, and he liked sitting in that.

  Water shoes for pools.  I don't know what it is but so many toddlers/kids end up with blisters or something on their feet.  Nothing ever bothered me when I played with my nieces and nephews but then again, my feet aren't as soft haha!
