So my 14.5 month daughter still gets 2 or 3 jars of baby food a day. She is the worlds's pickiest eater! She does great with breakfast. She eats waffles, pancakes, French toast, oatmeal and cherrios. She will also eat nutrigrain bars, bananas, pears, pastina, and yogurt BUT THAT'S IT! No matter how many times I offer new foods, it ends up on the floor. The second it hits her lips, its on the floor. Are there any other toddlers out there like my daughter? She has a Dr appt next wk so I will talk to the pedi but just wanna see if I'm alone out there Haha. It's very frustrating! Ftr, I do offer her foods before the purees but she flat out refuses to eat something new.
Re: baby food
I offer eggs and toast a few times a week (basically when I make it for myself). I've tried grilled cheese, american cheese slices, shredded cheddar and mozz cheese (this girl needs protein in her diet). We have tried mashed potatoes, peas, hamburger, spaghetti-o's, pasta with meat sauce, and alfredo sauce. I even try french fries and chicken nuggets a lot. This is just a few of the foods I have tried.
She will put it in her mouth and immediately take it out and throw it on the floor or give it back to me. I want her to get a balanced diet so I give her the purees. I'm going to ask the pedi for insight next week, but wanted to see if any other moms are dealing with this too. Thanks.

What about yogurt, shredded chicken, quesadillas, anything with "dip" -my god this can be a lifesaver
Try giving yogurt as dip for waffle dippers (greek yogurt, if she'll eat it is a great source of protein). How do you make the eggs? Change that up. I discovered my son loved his scrambled with taco seasoning. I'm not a spice person so it didn't occur to me to do that. I guess that's my biggest tip is to try doing things differently than you normally do because they aren't us. My son loves cottage cheese with fruit mixed in and I practically gag giving it to him, I hate it that much lol
The other thing to keep in mind is that just because it's thrown on the floor doesn't mean "the end." A lot of times you need to introduce a food several times before it "takes." And pretty much all kids throw food - even food they like.
My 2 recommendations with picky eaters are:
1) Don't stress about what/how much they eat. Kids can read anxiety levels, but not connect them with the cause, so it just makes eating stressful for you and her.
2) Continue to offer. Without the stress of worrying whether she'll eat it, she may be more inclined to try. And even if she doesn't start going after the grilled cheese and hamburgers tomorrow, if you continue to offer, then maybe eventually she will pick up and try something.
