I am just curious how your babies are gaining weight and if you pump how much milk they are taking in a bottle at right now? Cole is 2 months old was 7 lbs 6 ounces when he was born and yesterday at his 2 month check up he already weighed 11 lbs 5 ounces....Dr. said he was doing great and that most BF babies gain weight quicker then FF babies?
Just wondering how everybody else was doing??

My lo was 5 12 at birth, 5 4 at her first appointment, 8 14 at two months and 12 4 at her four month appointment. She started under 5th percentile and is now 22nd. She's only had a hand full of bottles but she took 2.5-3 oz when she did.

I am not sure your pedi's statement is accurate. We tend to be obsessed with big babies in this country and big doesn't always = heathly. Mine actually said ff babies tend to be bigger. As long as your little one us growing and is happy you are doing a great job!
ETA: At daycare he gets a 3oz bottle every 3 hours. We had him at 4 every three hours, but he was spitting up too much. It is possible to over feed with a bottle, so just because they drink 6 ounces in oneone sitting doesn't mean they need that much. If daycare is overfeeding your baby, it will kill your supply really quick. Kelly.mom.com has some calculators to help you figure out how many oz to put in a bottle.

DS was 7.2 at birth, 10.3 at 2 months and 13.0 at 4 months. He was and still is on the skinny side. I think he has a high metabolism, he eats a lot too. He hit a lot of milestones early like rolling over, crawling, and walking.
DD was 6.15 at birth, 11.7 at 2 months, 11.7 at 2 months and 14.2 at 4 months. She is not a big eater and has the pudgy thighs. Has not rolled over yet whereas DS already did by 4 months.
When i am at work, she takes 4 ounce bottles. DH says she does not always finish them so she takes maybe 7 to 9 ounces of bottled BM when I am not BFing her.

My son is older, but I was an EPer (from about 3w on) and he was a super gainer. He started out under 7 pounds and nearly doubled that by 2m. He was about a half pound shy of doubling. His gain slowed from there, but he still topped the charts on height and weight until around 6-9 months. Once he started moving, his weight gain slowed considerably. His milk consumption stayed the same, though, even when we added in solids. It did gradually decrease as we added more solids in.
He ate around 32oz daily; around 40 during a spurt. He would never take more than 4oz from a bottle at a time, until he was over a year old. At 2m, I think he was still eating 2-3 oz at a feeding. Maybe 3? That's how much I was freezing in a packet at once, so that would be how much I anticipated him eating at one feeding. By 4m, he was up to 4 oz.
ETA: YES, BF babies do tend to gain faster initially. Most American doctors use charts that are for formula feeders, so your baby may seem to be growing super fast on those charts. If you look at the WHO charts, they show BF babies and their growth. BF babies tend to grow faster for the first 3-6m and then level out.
I am totally confused by what my boy is doing. He's getting only breast milk through a combination of breast and bottle and we're still seeing the lactation consultant from the NICU weekly.
He was born at 4 lbs, 8 oz and lost down to 4 lbs even while in the NICU. His last official weight last Tuesday (at 5 weeks) was 7 lbs 2oz so he's been gaining really, really well.
Here's the confusing part. I now have a scale at home so I can measure how much he's getting from the breast. My LC has us experimenting with when to give the bottle of pumped milk. Previously, I'd bf, then pump and give bottle right after. Now, we're giving him an ounce of pumped milk, bf, then topping off with bottled milk if he still needs it. He is all over the map with how much he gets from the breast. Sometimes he'll feed for an hour and get 2 oz, sometimes 90 minutes gets him 1 oz. Last night, he fed for over 30 minutes and got just 8 ml. This morning, he had his 1 oz bottle, bf for almost an hour (got 50 ml out of it) and then ate 4 oz from the bottle. That's 7 oz in a 2 hour time span. I am totally unsure how to proceed from here. I'll keep doing this until our next LC visit on Tuesday but this can't be the way to go, can it?
That is awesome progress!!! DD has always been on the small side, so even though she gains pretty steadily, she's in the 5th percentile for weight. She was 7 lbs. 5 oz. when she was born and at her 6 mo. appt. she was 14 lbs. She's going to her 9 mo. tomorrow and I expect she'll be around 17 lb. Usually BFed babies really slow down on the weight gain when they hit around 4 months, FYI. I've found KellyMom really helpful this whole time:
