Highlands Ranch Qs
Hi! On July 1st, my husband and I are relocating from Manhattan to a home we just purchased in Highlands Ranch BackCountry, with our daughter (2) and son (5 months). We do not yet have any contacts in CO, so I would greatly appreciate any advice/info/comments that you would care to share regarding the following items or anything else that comes to mind. Pediatricians arapahoe park pediatrics, specifically Dr Nancy McKenzie. Or, we're using Partners in Pediatrics, but I'm not sure if they are taking new kids.
Family doctor I need a new one of these too...
Dentist Rock Canyon Dental. There are 2 dentists that are great, and I love my hygienist, Lan.
Preferred Cable/Internet providers I'm not a huge Comcast fan, but your other good option, in my opinion, is dish on demand and having a satalite dish can mean no television in the big snow storms.
Hair stylists Adrienne Fitch at Vivid boutique and Salon. She's amazing and super reasonably priced!
Play groups
Yoga studio / Favorite instructors I go to Core Power. It's close, there are good class times, and you can use the package you purchase at any location.
Rec centers do you utilize the the four centers? have a favorite location? we utilize them a ton! For the gym area my favorite is Southridge and my husband likes Westridge. Westridge has the best outdoor pool for kids, but east ridge and north ridge both have a separate shallow kids pool. East ridge and Southridge have gun indoor pools. There is also daycare in Southridge that you can use while you work out and my god daughter loved it. Boot camp is a ton of fun, if that's your sort of thing.
Dog grooming/boarding we use Lone Tree vet, but I've never boarded
Resaleconsignmentgarage sales I have tons of baby stuff that I would like to sell and/or donate garage sales can do okay, Craigslist is also an option, or there is a consignment store off Kipling just north of C470

"Once upon a child" has been great for buying and selling used items.
Going to a children's library class has been a great free weekly activity and a place to meet moms to do play dates with.
MOPS is another great place to meet moms and the group at "Mountainview Christian Church" on broadway and highlands ranch parkway meets throughout the summer for park play dates.
We've like the connection speed for Comcast Internet best... We stream massive amounts of data.... But we're currently going through direct TV for everything bc it's quite a bit cheaper.
