Mastitis

I know some other ladies have been through mastitis but I wanted to know how you would handle it on a weekend. Should I just call in or go to the ER? It's not nearly as painful as it was earlier today but my fever goes up and down. I'd like to wait til Monday so I don't have to go to the ER but is that a crazy thought and I just need to suck it up and go? How bad would it be by Monday?

    If you call your dr's answering line, maybe they could call in antibiotics for you...otherwise not much they will tell you other than fluids, rest, nursing a lot on that side, heating pads.  This happened to me last weekend... i ran a 101 fever. What are your symptoms?

    When I had it my OB couldn't fit me in so they asked my symptoms and just called in a prescription for me. I wouldn't want to wait, especially if you already have a fever. At least put a call in.

    Update:
    Took my temp again and it was 102.9. Called in and they said to come on in to get meds. Went to the ER, they put me on clindamycin and gave me enough to get me to Monday AM when I'll go get my script filled.
