What have you all brought your little boys home in? I am having a hard time finding anything...and a little unsure how much layering he will need. My first DS was born in March, so it was a no brainer. Since this one will be here in June (unless I go early like everyone else
and we live in NC...it will be HOT. I am still thinking a long sleeve sleeper or playset but not sure?? Thoughts? also, any good ideas of where to buy from (ive checked carters, gap, old navy, etsy, target and cant find anything i like).

one premie and one newborn.
Per twin; I'm having b/g twins so I'm not sure what size will fit them best, hence the premie.
It's been really hot here in CA so I'm taking the onesies and pajamas and seeing from there depending on the weather. I have receiving blankets and the warm cuddly ones, just in case I leave later in the day and it gets chilly.
I think It's better to be over prepared than not enough.
If you're having a singleton, full term, and they say their weight is normal then I'd skip the premie and just take a newborn size.
Hope this helps! Smiley face
Ohh and I got most of it from Target. The rest was from gifts. I hope you find something!
I'm bringing a sleeper in NB and 03. Even if its hot out we'll have the AC on in the car. I'll also bring an A and A blanket just in case.
ETA I just realized you asked where to buy from. I got mine at a second hand store for a couple bucks. Its not that important to me what he comes home in. Comfort is key for me, especially with the umbilical cord stump being there.
Brought DD home on the hottest day of the year in July two years ago. She wore a onsie with socks and had a breathable Aiden + Anais blanket lightly draped over her. I plan to do the same for DS since June is also hot where I live.
Honestly, I don't get the huge deal behind finding the "perfect" going home outfit... I think M stayed in hers (and we went simple then too, just a onesie and a fleece pant/sweater set) for an hour after we got home.
We're just putting him in a simple sleep and play, it might be 60 here or it might be 80... not sure yet (we're in central NY). I snagged it from BRU, it's Carter's, and I'll throw an a+a blanket over him. It's a 5min drive from the hospital to home so if he's a tad warm then he'll be okay.
I put him in something like this:

(Not the sleeper, but the onesie, pants, and hat.)
ETA: He was born at the end of August, so it was pretty warm. I eventually took the hat off while I was waiting for DH to come pick us up.
I am brining two outfits (because I can't decide what I want him to come home in.) I have two little cotton pants, and matching onesies. One of the onseis is a long sleeved, but it's super light material. I live in Texas, and it's almost 100 degrees here already. I will probably include a little pair of white socks also. If its way too ho, I will just have him in a onesie, and an A+A swaddle blanket to cover him while we are in the car w/ a/c on.
