Re: ***2IF Weekly Update***

  • We have been TTC #2 since we got married in December 2010.  Three losses since then, and now four months of Letrozole, including 2 failed IUIs.  This cycle we tried Letrozole and TI, due to some timing issues which caused us to cancel IUI #3.

QOTW:  We are in the middle of having our house painted, which will hopefully look good once it's finished on Monday.  It's close to being done, and looks much better.

I'm so excited about the new bfps and I'm hoping it's contagious! :)

DH and I have been TTC #2 since October 2011. We will start will Follistim + IUI next cycle. I'm only cd 9 today, but hubs left for an 18 day trip to Asia. Truthfully, I'm looking forward to not thinking at all about ttc for the next month...but I miss DH terribly (only day 1 of 18 :( )!!

QOTW: Well, we moved into our house this past December, so we've been doing a lot to it. We just finished landscaping, so that's good. I'm looking forward to furnishing rooms/completing rooms once we find the money to do it. Let's just say our financial situation has switched from housewares to baby making. :)

We have been TTC our second since August 2010. DS is 3 and has autism so we have decided not to move forward with any assistance with TTC. I had a lap in April to remove some mild endo and this is our first cycle postlap. I'm nervous because while I know that laps aren't necessarily a ticket to fertility, especially with mild endo, that was really our last "treatment" before we throw in the towel and hope for the best. I live a high stress lifestyle juggling too much work and a PhD program and have even gone so far now to convince myself that if I weren't so constantly stressed and busy that I'd have more success. I am now in the process of deciding what I can walk away from so that I can start enjoying my life rather than revolving around work and school and 2IF. At the very least, I'll get more time for my family and hobbies!
  • Today is day 2 of Gonal F for me...IUI should be late this month! This is our 10th IUI cycle, total. We have triplets from our 3rd cycle and our youngest from our 8th cycle. We are hoping this will be our last try.

We just completed a remodel job on our new house, began back in Jan...it was a total gut and remodel, and will be moving in over the next week or two! Can't wait to be done and moved in!

Oh, and QOTW. Well, I need to organize, but I cannot find the time to do it and DS is into everything so the minute I try to organize a drawer or shelf or room he has torn everything apart and is into something else or trying to get outside. We have a condo so what I'm really looking forward to is moving! Hopefully in the next few years we will be out of here!
  • Congrats to all the BFPs!! I hope i join the party soon! We have been TTC 3 since January 2012. I am doing FET prep right now with an ET of June 8th. We have been cancelled a bunch do hoping my uterus cooperates. Lupron is giving me the worst headaches. I am miserable.

We just gutted our new house in the summer. We are landscaping the outside and I'm excited to have a pretty yard. Although, I hate watering it.
  • What a big week for BFPs! Congrats to everyone! It's making me feel a bit hopeful!

We started trying for #2 in April 2011, conceived, ended in early miscarriage. We took a break until May 2012. This month marks a year without any luck. Ugh. I've done Letrozole for 5 months now. One failed IUI last cycle. IUI #2 should have been on Thursday. Our RE suggested we save our money and try another month of TI with a trigger instead. Told us to save our money for moving on to an injectable IUI next cycle. Feels like such a waste, but maybe it will be our big surprise! I do appreciate the honesty since we are OOP, but it was still disappointing, We're in the TWW now. Testing on the 31st. I have my follistim ordered and on hold and my injects class scheduled next week, so I feel prepared either way I guess!

QOTW- I wish we had more time and money to do updates to our house these days! We seem to have neither! I am looking forward to doing some updates to our landscaping in the front. We lost a few plants over the crazy winter and I can't wait to finally spruce it back up!

  • Congrats to all BFP!

We started officially in 2008 for DD, and she was born 2011 in Jan. Baby two was started in 2011 when she was 6 months. For us it has always been male issue and I had 6 IUIs for baby 2 and one IVF. The fresh cycle gave us 7 embryos of which we have  3 left. I hope this BFP sticks. I have beta 3 today and I am nerveous!

House: We live in a condo and recently we changed the windows in DD's room, it made a huge difference with noise and drafts.

Best of luck to all! This board has been a life saver!

  • Congratulations BFP ladies!!!

We have been trying for #2 since July of 2011.  We have had one successful cycle winding up in a m/c at around 7 weeks.  I am in a break cycle and will start bc once I get my period in preparation for my first IVF cycle.  I am nervous and excited all at the same time!  Hope this does the trick!

QOTW:  We are in the process of renovating one of our bathrooms and I am really excited for it to be finished.  It is the first time we have done a project with a lot of pinterest in mind and I think it is going to look great!

    Congrats BFP ladies!

We've been TTC LO#2 for over 2.5 years, finally getting a dx of MFI.  We are waiting to retest SA to see if OTC supplements have improved anything-- jsut a waiting game.

I'm in a 2ww-- and I want to believe in this cycle, but I do that with every cycle and no success.

QOTD: I'm really excited about looking for a new house.  We just started looking and got pre-approved-- it's starting to feel more real.

  • Thanks again for all of the postive vibes and congrats to the other BFP's.  Still seems so unreal.  We conceived our DD naturally on the 1st cycle of TTC and then have been trying for #2 for almost 4 years. We had one CP in December of 2010 but nothing since then. The problem lies with me. DX with low progesterone and annovulatory in May of '11 and stage 3 endo in April of '12. I had surgery last August to remove all of the scar tissue followed by a few cycles of trying on our own with Clomid to no avail.  Began seeing RE in Jan and just finished our 2nd cycle of IUI w injects (125 ml bravelle) and hopefully this is it!

Just had our first beta this morning and everything across the board looks great! (Sorry I can't remember the numbers....office called back when I was half asleep and I didn't write them down)Have our second beta on Tuesday so hopefully things keep going in the right direction!

QOTW: We have a LOT of half finished projects since we moved into this house 5 years ago when I was 7 1/2 mos pregnant with our first daughter. We used to have money and no time, and now we have time and no money :(  Maybe if this new little bean sticks around it will be the push we need to get things completed!

QOTW: Our garden! It's the biggest garden we've ever had and so far it's doing great. We have strawberries, cucumber and lots of more strawberry, cucumber, squash and tomato blooms! Our lettuce and beans looks awesome and our corn and peppers look. We just planted our okra, watermelon and cantaloupe but they already look great! I'm excited. Now we just need to work on landscaping our yard which doesn't look too bad. It just needs cleaning up. This is our first year in this house so we are trying to get all done. At least we have the inside like we want it.

  • MH and I have been trying for #2 wih our RE since Sept 2012. My first IVF cycle turned into an FET sometime in June. Out of the 5 that made it past Day 5, only 3 made it to freeze, which I guess is better than nothing.

QOTW: Truthfully, we have done anything big with our condo in a long time. We hope to sell it before we have #2 so we don't want to put more money in.

  • I love seeing all the BFPs.  It gives the rest of us hope.  We have been TTC #2 since August 2010.  We've had 6 failed IUIs (the last one was after our first attempt for IVF was cancelled).  Started Estrace last week and got my period yesterday so I'll be going for baseline testing soon (probably tomorrow).  The protocol this time is for Chlomid, Follistim and Ganorelix.  I really hope we make it to retrieval this time around.

QOTW:  We have a lot of projects we want to work on, but I'm most excited to work on DD's big-girl room.  We didn't know what we were having the first time so I did a neutral nursery, with the intent of using it again when the next one(s) come along. We converted the crib to a full-size bed but DD is still in the nursery.  I'm anxious to transform our guest bedroom into a fun girly room for her!

DD conceived naturally in 2009.  TTC #2 since August 2010.  Praying for guidance as we decide what's next.

Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."

  • Sorry I haven't been around a lot lately. I'm struggling right now I guess. I know I'm really behind on posting our Grad check in but I promise I'll do it this week. Can't wait to hear from all of our new Grads!

We have been trying for over a year this time around with our RE and after 5 IUIs and 3 failed IVFs I'm losing hope. My RE is at a lost so he's insistent that I have another Lap. So surgery is scheduled for this Friday morning. Any prayers are appreciated. Had my pre op today and we plan on discussing our next step at our post op. I just don't have much hope anymore. :(

QOTW:  We are in the process of finally finishing up our massive kitchen/family room remodel. We have been living in a construction zone for over 6 months and I am so ready to be done but DH is already talking about paint/electrical work we can do in the spare bedrooms.

  • I have not been on here much lately at all, but i still check and lurk occasionally so i would love to still be involved!  after my mc in february i have just been waiting for my cycles to regulate so i have found that staying off here helps me mentally...anyway we are coming up on 2 year of ttc #2 in july, my ds is 3.  my issue is low AMH.  I had a blighted ovum mc in februrary at 7 weeks and like i said, my cycles have been out of whack since then so i am just waiting for things to normalize.  Right now i am 5 days late at least, but as of yesterday morning my hpts have all been negative.  my doc wants me to wait another week before coming in if nothing has changed.  i had very light, pinkish/brownish spotting for a few hours both thursday and friday afternoons but nothing even close to a period.  anyway, its driving me crazy!

QOTW: we are about to totally redo our kitchen!  demo started monday!  i am more than excited, my hubby has been promising we can do this for the past 2 years!  our kitchen it literally falling apart so it will be so nice to have something brand new!
