Yeast

So i got a yeast infection from my pap smear after my appointment ... Call the doctor? Or can i treat it?

Re: Yeast

  • You can treat it... monistat is completely safe.

ETA: Still ask your doctor though, in case they want to make sure that's what you have.

  • I just got over one from taking antibiotics, I was 9 weeks and the doctor and pharmacist both said that that taking the vaginal tablet was more than safe, I used conesten but monistat was safe as well.
  • My doc prescribed something for a  preventive yeast infection, so i took it the next day i was bleeding a little. Got freaked out and called my uncle whos a gyno and he told me she never should have prescribed something on a 8 week pregnant women,  so he gave me bed rest and progesterone for three days, i did as ordered and ive been doing fine, i have a ultrasound on monday so hopefully i wanna see my baby and be more calm... So id be careful .. Xoxox

  • I'd call your doctor. He may tell you just to take monistat or something, but I think you should at least just give him the head's up in case he wants to run some tests to make sure that's what you have, or if he wants to put it on your record (not sure why he would, but just in case)

He can also tell you what's safe to take and what's not.
