When am I supposed to eat?

I have mastitis again and they gave me dicloxacillin four times a day but I can't eat 3-4 hours around each time taking it! I eat all day especially since I am breastfeeding! This is going to be a long ten days!

    Call your Doctor or a pharmacist. They will know more about this.

    It will work more effectively on an empty stomach. Try right when you get up and wait an hour for breakfast, and right before bed. The other times are more tricky, but try an hour after breakfast and an hour after lunch? Just so long as you have a mostly empty belly...the point is to not have the med bind to your stomach contents and go through your GI tract without going into your bloodstream. That happens a little bit no matter what, but taking it on an empty stomach will minimize it. GL!
