So you noted the spoiler sign above right?
Last night on GA they had to do a CS on Meredith because the baby had "face presentation" and supposedly that's like the riskiest thing ever. Which made me feel a little like a rock star. Because DS2 had face presentation. And I had him naturally (I mean both non CS and drug free). Yes, I had to push for the most agonizing three hours of my life (because it is indeed an inefficient presentation in terms of being the widest diameter) but the CS was discussed only as a last resort if baby goes into distress. In fact the OB explicitly said that doing a CS would be riskier because by the time you notice that it's face the baby is so far down.
So now I get why medical professionals don't watch GA (and legal don't watch Good wife, etc.). Because you just pick up on all the unrealistic stuff. But I'll keep watching - in blissful ignorance.
Re: NWMR *spoiler* Grey's Anatomy
Oh that's interesting that yours turned. In my case because there was no ultrasound before they only knew that he was head down. And from what I read afterwards it's common for them to tilt up just as they engage - which is why it is usually an unexpected event.
I fully appreciate that one hour is little time to develop the plot line. Especially when you have to make sure to also cover hospital generators failing, heart surgery in the dark, an unexpected tryst (with a prosthetic leg none-the-less) and its fall-out, adoption thoughts, a bus exploding and so many other realistic developments
But funnily enough the only incongruity I focused on was the CS.
Both my babies were OP (sunny-side up)! Oh, the back labor!! It's fairly common though I thought...
I know what you mean. I also hate when the characters are super skinny RIGHT after their babies are born.Come on.
Meredith survived a plane crash and a drowning....and what else? Oh lots of things. It's TV drama at it's finest! I don't look for facts in my favorite shows. That would be incredibly boring, wouldn't it.

Oh. Eeek! Yeah, that sounds scary.
