Does anyone else's hospital offer a class for siblings-to-be?
We went to one today - it was really a waste of time and I wish they would have said that it's geared more towards children old enough to understand what a baby sibling is. DS enjoyed poking the baby doll in the eye and watching the pirate-themed video. But we got a free box of crayons and some handouts that they didn't explain which might have some useful information if I ever get to look at them.
Anyone else? I was just disappointed and hoping for more.
Re: Siblings class...sort of vent?
Part of the issue was that it was in a conference room around a big table with all the little kids sitting in office chairs. It was led by pediatricians -- shouldn't they know that's not the best environment for small children? Not really age-appropriate or conducive to keeping their attention. It was probably the only room they had available, but it just didn't work.
Huh? In office chairs? Really?
