What is the first thing you would spend money on? - We are "powerball snobs" meaning we only buy when it's over 200mil LOL.  First thing first, pay off all debt.  Then we'd go house hunting!  (For our first house, with that much money, might buy a 'summer lake house' down at Lake in the Ozarks since it's inbetween where we live, and my parents.

Would you call in rich?  LOL.  No, I'd just call in to quit.  I don't think I'd tell them why due to security concerns.  People can be crazy if they hear you have that kind of money.

If you quit your current job, what would you do?   I would probably find ways to fill my time, including volunteering.  And if after two years I was bored with life we might look into owning a business, like a restaurant or something to keep us busy.  But honestly, I think we'd spend much of our year on Founders Days, our town's festival that we already spend some free time organizing.  This would give us just so much more time for that.

Who would you share your winnings with?  Family and probably would invite our ten closest friends on an all expense paid trip.

What charity would be at the top of your list?  An IF charity would be top of my list, but I've also always dreamed of doing some sort of grant or something for students from my high school to pay for college.  DH and I went to the same high school (although never met there since we're seven grade years apart), but I think we'd enjoy giving back to our alma mater.  AND we'd donate probably 20K to our town's festival that we volunteer for.  My husband's been president of the fest several years and I'm in charge of the 5 & 10K run...but a few years ago there was a flood that canceled the fest and depleted the funds quiet a bit so it'd be nice to help make sure it kept going forever.

If you quit your current job, what would you do? I would open a dog rescue/sanctuary.

Who would you share your winnings with? I would take care of my immediate family (my dad & wife, inlaws, my mom) and our best friends.

What charity would be at the top of your list? NH Animal Rescue League and really any animal rescue

Thanks for reminding me to buy a ticket! :)

What is the first thing you would spend money on?

I would pay off all of our debt! We don't have much, but it would be nice to be rid of it!

    Would you call in rich?

I'm a stay at home wife (hoping to be a stay at home mom soon!) and DH would probably keep working. He'd go insane if he wasn't able to work.

If you quit your current job, what would you do?

    See above...

Who would you share your winnings with?

I'd share with our parents and siblings.

What charity would be at the top of your list?

Not sure... I'd definitely have to do some research!

What is the first thing you would spend money on? A vacation property in the Virgin Islands.

Would you call in rich? Heck yes!

If you quit your current job, what would you do? Not a whole lot, ha ha. I would donate money to local charities and volunteer on the boards, travel a lot, and get a personal trainer to come everyday. And hopefully raise a family.

Who would you share your winnings with? Family, and I would sponsor an awesome vacation for my group of girlfriends from college.

What charity would be at the top of your list? Our city animal shelter.

I would quit my job, buy a few mansions (for us, one for parents, one for brother) and start a few businesses - a reception place for weddings and social events for example. I would give some money, buy food and clothing for battered women's shelters close to our area.
    Me: 32, DH: 34.
Trying since Jan 2011. Unexplained IF.
    2 IUIs = BFN.
    1 IVF (Dec 2013) = BFN.
    FET, 2 frosties (June 13, 2014)

    14dp5dt-June 27 -BFP, beta 2061. 2nd beta >5000, 3rd beta >5000, 2 sacs 06/30.
Twin Girls - 02/11/15 - at 37 weeks (no NICU, home with me at 3 days).
  • First thing I would spend the money on? Sushi. All of the sushi I can fit in my belly. Every time we go out to sushi I try and keep the cost down (as if that's even possible). I would eat until I pass out, wake up, and keep going. I know 100% for sure that DH would say the same thing. Then I would buy a house.

    Also, now I want sushi.

I may or may not quit my job. I just lost my civilian job, and I don't mind that. I think I would still keep working for the national guard... but that's only once a month. I honestly think I would consider opening a spa or wellness center, I managed one for a few years. I could go back to that life, be my own boss. I'd get my PHD first.

I would share my winnings with MIL, BIL, Mom & Dad. I'd buy gifts for the grandparents and my BFF, or get them something they need if they needed it.

Top charity would be Compassion, but I also like small, local, no-kill animal shelters.

Don't expect any replies, and stop PMing me. This account is no longer being used and is waiting for the bump gods to deactivate it.

What is the first thing you would spend money on? Pay off my mortgage and all debts; buy a shore house; more running gear (I have so much already, but, hey, if I have all that cash then I wouldn't have to hold back!)

Would you call in rich? Probably not. I think I would get bored if I didn't work and I love my job!

If you quit your current job, what would you do? I would probably take on fewer private students so I could have more time for myself.

Who would you share your winnings with? Obviously my DH, but on top of that my parents, MIL and her DH, FIL and his DW, my brother and both sisters. Then I'd probably plan a vacation for my closest friends and pick up the tab.

What charity would be at the top of your list? Multiple Sclerosis Society - my dearest friend was diagnosed in 2009 and I hate that there is nothing I can do to make it better.

What is the first thing you would spend money on? Pay off the house and get better vehicles

Would you call in rich? Probably not, I enjoy my photography and DH can't stand not to work, but maybe I could convince him to find something part time or just for fun instead of the factory

If you quit your current job, what would you do? Often thought of opening up a no kill non profit animal shelter

Who would you share your winnings with? A little bit to my brother and his family, a little more to my parents, buy my grandfather a ticket to haiwaii, and a little bit to Dh's sister and her family

What charity would be at the top of your list? Animal Shelters and Adoption programs, probably local ones

Dh and I have dreamed about this for years even though we don't really play. We'd put enough in the bank right off so that we could live off the interest alone. We've talked about moving to Ireland. Getting a little biplane and our pilot's licenses so we could fly anywhere in the country, like to the keys for a weekend or whatnot.

Who would you share your winnings with? My mom and sister.

What charity would be at the top of your list? The national multiple sclerosis society because of my history) and the ASPCA.

  • What is the first thing you would spend money on? Plane tickets to Europe, then maybe a Mini Cooper for me and a Jeep Wrangler for the Hubbs.

Would you call in rich? Definitely. We'd be gone on a never-ending round the  world trip.

If you quit your current job, what would you do? Travel, maybe invest some for the future.

Who would you share your winnings with? Our families. Particularly my dad, his mom and our grandmothers and siblings.

What charity would be at the top of your list? I would probably just make and fund one to make sure the money went where it was intended. Maybe a fund to help IF'ers afford treatment.

  • 1. Retirement!

    2. I actually wouldn't, because I wouldn't want anyone to know I won!

    3. I would do volunteer work

    4. I think I'd share it with a lot of different people. After setting aside a good portion for investments/long-term savings, I'd like to set aside a certain percentage of "blow" money for me and for DH....and then the rest of that, I'd set aside to give away. I'd love to do things like pay a year of some random, strugglign person's mortgage, things like that.

     5. I would have to think about the "top" charity. We'd like split money among a bunch.

  • What is the first thing you would spend money on? Pay off the House

Would you call in rich? Yes, so I could go to graduate school full time, instead of work full time and school part time

If you quit your current job, what would you do? I would go to graduate school full time to be a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. It's already my plan but I wouldn't work at the same time.

Who would you share your winnings with? Family and friends

What charity would be at the top of your list? Probably a cervical cancer awareness charity.
