XP:Does anyone know about or experienced nursing strikes?
My LO loves to nurse - it's his main source of comfort and usually what will calm him down in any circumstance. I went out for a vigorous with him and when I came back he bit down on my nipple and pushed it away. He then stared at it like it was foreign. I thought it was the sweat (but I've worked out before and nursed him fine) so I washed and he has refused to nurse since. He was STARVING so DH had to finally give him a bottle which he sucked down.
He is 7months today and yes he is teething. But I am a little confused as to what to do! And will he go back to nursing? I really miss him nursing already!
I posted this also on the Breastfeeding board.

Re: Does anyone know about or experienced nursing strikes?
I saw someone post just the other day that their LO refused to nurse while teething, but would take a bottle.
No experience with this myself, but hope it passes! BFing is so special, and I totally understand why you'd miss it already! Hugs mama!
Thanks for the reply. I thought I may have seen something but I did not see it looking back. It has been only since this AM and actually when he was about to fall asleep, I held him in my arms just now and exposed the breast to him and he took it naturally. I've been trying to break the habit of him falling asleep on my breast, but man, I'm willing to give that up for now! I hope this is the end of the strike!
