I get really annoyed with vegans who are almost aggressive about people who don't follow their lifestyle. I have a FB acquaintance who I just recently deleted because I was so sick of seeing pictures of dead animals hanging from rusty hooks and the like, all over my news feed. I also don't need constant statuses about how everybody who eats meat is going to die and awful cancer filled death or anybody who hunts is a redneck hillbilly who needs to be shot themselves.
BTW I eat meat from locally owned farms where I know what the animals are fed, how they are killed and how they are treated. Does that mean I should beat down on those that buy meat from the grocery store? Does that mean I should disown my father who hunts game out I the woods and follows the law by hunting with a licence only to keep the population down?
Ever heard that it's easier to attract flies with honey than vinegar? If you are all about trying to educate others because you believe your lifestyle is the healthiest choice and best for the environment, then try not acting like the worlds biggest judgey douche-face and maybe I can take you seriously.
Personally i have been raised in the hunting/fishing atmosphere and it really isn't as cruel as people say. When you shoot a deer you are aiming for their heart because it is the fastest way to kill them so they wont suffer. Some people do miss, but the fact is that they aren't trying to cause pain to the animal. For my family we basically only eat wild game. It helps keep the deer/elk/ducks/fish from getting over populated ant it fills my freezer for a fraction of the cost of store bought meat. I can also say we are not hillbilly inbred rednecks who kill for fun. we use every piece of the animal as we can. no meat is wasted and we always donate our hides. Soooo those who don't think so can go jump a ditch lol...
EDD for #2 is December 8th, 2013, so excited for our 2nd team green baby!
