I'm wondering where everyone else is on the potty training front. Do you have a potty chair or seat? Does LO use it at all? Have you decided on a strategy or method? Do you have a favorite book or website about potty training?
Thanks for sharing!

I should say that we are in the very early stages. We have a potty seat that we got about 3 months ago.I started putting her on the seat and praising her for sitting on it. I also started letting her come into the bathroom when I'm in there if she wants. Now she sits on the seat herself and says, "Yay!" I try to put her on the potty before bath time since her diaper is off and encourage her to go, but she hasn't yet. She is really far from being able to pull down her own pants which I read is a readiness sign (?). She will tell me when she's gone in her diaper which I guess is a good sign. I'm really just looking for reassurance that we're doing the right thing and not super behind.

We are somewhat where you are he just never sits on his potty naked. Other than that, same thing. I guess we are right on track. I think we'll try in summer.
We have not bought a potty yet, but that is more because I am lazy. Right now we are working on DS telling us when he poops or pees. Lately he seems to be catching on. It is a start I guess ha ha

We haven't started anything yet, though she can and does pull her pants down and often lets us know when she's gone poop or pee. Her daycare won't work on it until she's closer to 2.
We bought a potty and DD sits on it with her clothes on or puts her dolls on it to go potty. She can also say when she has gone poop or pee in her diaper. Other than that, we are not in any rush to potty train.
Lo has a potty and sometimes uses it. She asks to use the potty to pee when we're out to occasionally. She is starting to be able to tell us she has to poop before she goes but its hit or miss if she'll go on the potty or wait until the diapers back on. She tells us when her diaper needs to be changed. We haven't started a reward system for going yet. I love the 3 day potty book but IMO they're too young because at this age they're not all physically capable of holding it or recognizing they need to go. It's more the parents are trained to put them on the toilet and recognize when they need to go.
We have a potty but she doesn't like to sit on it without her diaper on. She likes to "flush" it. It's an Elmo one that makes a flushing noise. She'll tell me she needs to go before she poops, but she has yet to mention pee. I'm hoping to more actively work on it this summer if she seems ready.
We have a potty chair and she loves to play with it, sit on it, drag it around the house. She has peed in it one time. I don't want to rush her into it. Everyone says she seems to be ready, but I'm not sure. She tells us when she pees or poops in her diaper. She also told me the other night when she was running around without a diaper on that she "pee pee" and then peed on the rug in front of the front door. I haven't read a book, although I pinned a Website the other day with some tips. I stay home during the summer, so we may work on it then.
We have had a potty for a while and she would sit on it occasionally and wear it as a hat just as often, but lately has shown a little more interest. I usually am running to the bathroom by the time we get home from work/daycare and dd ends up coming with me. I sit on my pot and she on hers and will sometimes do something. She likes to watch me empty her diapers in the toilet and will wave bye bye to whatever we are flushing. I usually put her on the potty before bath and she has pooped and peed on it. I sometimes ask her if she needs to use the potty, sometimes she will tell me she peed...but there is no pressure for her right now. If she wants to sit on it, great, if she doesn't, fine. If she goes we make a big deal about it. I also bought her some Minnie Mouse underwear at Costco that she loves. She wore them once and immediately peed in them, but we did "talk" about keeping Minnie dry and that she could wear Minnie all the time if she uses the potty. But, for now she is happy to wear Minnie on one leg over her pants, so whatever.
We don't have a potty yet, and honestly potty training isn't even in my thoughts right now. DS isn't showing any signs of readiness at all yet so I think we still have awhile before he'd take any interest. I'm probably going to pick up a potty toward the end of the summer, and follow his cues from there.
We haven't started anything yet. DD does tell us when she goes poop and sometimes when she pees. I actually think she will probably be ready for potty training soon, but with a newborn at home too, we will probably wait a few months before we start.
I have no clue what method we'll use (if any) and no resources to share since I haven't really looked into it yet.
We've been doing it off and on for 2-3 months. What I mean is we're not doing any strict training. She hasn't pooped in a diaper in pretty much all of that time, but pee is less accurate. We had a potty in her room but I got sick of cleaning out the little pot and now we only use the seat adapter. She uses it whenever she thinks of it. Like I said, she always knows when to poop but she's still learning pee. We're in underpants and training pants when we're at home and she has a lot of accidents, but that's just part of the process. We're not following any method, no praise or complaints when she succeeds or fails. We're just going with the flow.
We haven't done anything yet, except talk about "pee pee" and "poo poo." Brooke is just now learning that things come out.
She has just recently started indicating to us that she has peed. And she's completely freaked out by farts and thinks it's poo. Especially in the tub.
I let her come in the bathroom with me and we talk about what I'm doing. I tell her about wiping and flushing and she likes to flush (of course).
I think with Baby #2 coming in the next week or so, we're just going to take it easy and let her lead. I'll be too tired to push it.
If anything, we may get her a potty that we can practice on before her bath or something. Just to giver her some experience sitting on it.
E uses the potty regularly. She's very good with pooping. She tells me when she has to go and hasn't pooped her pants in weeks. Peeing is a different story. She may or may not pee when she sits down and never tells me when she has to pee. I'm not sure why one is so different from the other.
We have a potty. N sits on it and has used it once. She knows when she has to pee and poop but is still scared of actually using the potty. I'm not going to rush it. I have a sticker chart I made full of pictures of Dora and Boots hanging next to the potty. She loves looking at it and pointing to them. When she starts going I'll actually start using it but right now she's content to sit on the potty with her books.
