2nd Trimester

I know this is TMI but...

I haven't had too much tummy trouble other than gas (and a tiny bit of constipation). Today a few hours after lunch my body decided that it needed to get rid of whatever was in my stomach quickly. I had horrible gas pain followed by some intense diarrhea (sorry TMI). Has anyone else had this happen out of the blue?

Could have been something you ate.

My thoughts exactly. Sh!t happens to me sometimes. No pun intended : )

  • I've had it happen with food that I wasn't used to eating. But today I ate "normal" stuff. Ah well, guess it is all part of the fun!

  • I have had this happen a few times. Both pregnant and not. I think being pregnant had made my tummy a little more sensitive, things that didn't used to bother me do on occasion now. It's possible that's what happened to you. Hope you feel better soon.

  • oh, yes.  It was probably what you ate.  I've had very little constipation with much more of what you experienced.  I've had to resort to a more "Bland" diet.  Definitely no Mexican or Cajun items!  Just stay hydrated.
  • Ummm, yes. I just had a big indian curry lunch and it did not end well......

  • yep. :/ never fun. But, the small silver lining is feeling empty feels better than being backed up? ;)

  • Sounds like indigestion and tummy upset. Like something you ate. It happened to me more so when I was not pregnant.

  • Yep, normally starts with massive passing of gas for a day or two...the other night ate dinner and was like Oh no..must run upstairs FAST....and felt better after. I try to keep more fruit and fibers in my diet but some days go by too fast to remember to get as much good stuff in as I want.

  • I get it from time-to-time although I have had IBS issues in the past.

  • I have had this since day one of pregnancy after every meal it is really weird. Is it normal to be having this problem that much? I eat pretty healthy fruits, veggies, and whole wheat grains. Does anyone have any suggestions.

  • I suffer from Chron's disease and this is pretty much my everyday. Just be thankful you were, hopefully, near a bathroom at D-time.
