I finally had the sandwich I was craving all week. It was from an Italian specialty deli in my town. Fresh baked semolina bread, crispy breaded chicken cutlet not soggy like most, thickly sliced fresh mozz, and in house roasted red peppers. Seriously this sandwich may keep me living in Nj FOREVER.

The office next door has a cafeteria with pretty reasonable prices. I've been dying for one of their turkey sandwiches so I did it. They did heat up the meat for me, but it wasn't a big deal. Sounded awesome.

I grew up in Northern NJ and must say, I often miss the sandwiches and bagels. Don't get me wrong, they are amazing in NYC & southern Westchester County, but I miss the bagel place and Italian delis I frequented growing up.

Help a sister out! How are you enjoying all of these sandwiches without being overcome by fear of listeria?

I know you can heat up the meat. But is the sandwich really that yummy afterwards? Do you heat it up then refrigerate it? Does that change the consistency?

I have a Wawa down the street, and car keys in hand. Please tell me how to get my sandwich fix!

I just moved all the way upstate NYam from Brooklyn originally and just left working in Little Italy in the Bronx. I am salivating at the thought of your sandwich right now. I miss Italian food so badly it makes me sad every day. :

There is a specialty gourmet sandwich shop near my house which -- amazingly -- is called Melt...all the sandwiches are heated/toasted (like Quiznos style, but waaaaaay better). Perfect for a pregnant lady! Went the other day and got a turkey, tomato, cheddar, and bacon sandwich with a mayo aioli....it changed.my.life. Forgot the type of bread it was on, but it was really good. So yummy and I am already plotting when to go back!
