I'm desperate for a comfortable sleep. I sleep with a pillow between my knees, but my hips and pelvis throb all night. I absolutely cannot get comfortable.
Anyone else have any tips on how to deal with the discomfort and pain? I'm hoping the 4" memory foam topper will do the trick

Re: I just spent $125 on a memory foam mattress topper
I am having the same hip pain problem all night and I toss and turn. Now I am even waking up in the morning and the pain lasts well into my work day. I am keen to see the posts of others. I am about ready to spend money on anything that will help.
BTW: Nukke, did you feel the earthquake today? I am not sure where you are in Ontario, but I work as a seismic analyst in BC and I hear Ontario had a but of a earthquake this morning!
ETA: thanks for all the advice ladies. I'm thinking of also visiting an acupuncturist, chiropracter and/or massage therapist. We'll see what's covered under my work insurance.
Yeah, I did. It was nothing though. I thought my cat was scratching my bed. What a cool job you have! I used to look at the Japanese seismological website every morning at work when I drank my coffee because it was so interesting. I lived in Miyagi Japan for a few years, so this "earthquake" was a bit of a joke. hahaha The earthquakes we'd get in Japan would cause our dishes to fly out of the cupboards and smash, or toss me right out of bed.
It's funny to read some facebook comments from bored Ontarians who crave drama "OMG my parents house got hit hard! I wonder if their dishes broke!" or "OMG is everyone OK?!" We get some pretty scary tornadoes in Ontario, but you never hear people talking about those. But this sad sad barely-an-earthquake has my facebook feed lit up.
It hasn't been delivered yet, but the reason I bought it because a couple weeks ago I slept on a 2" one at my parents house. It felt so good.
I'll let you guys know how it feels when I've slept on it for a couple days!
LOL! You have some pretty dramatic friends! I didn't feel it here (3 hours East of TO) but 3 years ago there was one in Quebec and I was living in a town just over the Ontario/Quebec border. I didn't know what was happening but I was standing on a wooden staircase going into my garage from my house and it started to bounce. I looked over and saw my garage doors bouncing off the cement floor. We lived on a very busy corner and I thought maybe a transport had hit my house! I walked outside when it was done and everyone was acting like nothing had happened. It was so weird! This one today though...nothing. I think a few people felt it but I had no idea. My friends had just been commenting that there was a few little ones.
As to the original post, I have a pillow top mattress, a big fat king pillow as a barrier between DH and I and a thinner pillow I put between my knees. I need a memory foam pillow for my head though...my current pillow leaves much to be desired all of a sudden. And a wedge may be in order soon enough for my belly....I can't just leave it 'hang' there anymore lol!
