1st Trimester

Exercise

Hey! Just recently found out that I am pregnant. 5 weeks along, still very early. Just went for a internal ultrasound, waiting for the results. I am trying to learn as much as I can to try and prepare myself for our first baby!

I wanted to try and continue to exercise through. Can anyone recommend any workout dvds or classes they are taking? Thanks!!!

I've been doing Summer Sanders' Prenatal workout DVD and love it! They have workouts for each trimester, and each one has a normal 55 minute version and an express workout version. It's mainly strength training using an exercise band and your own body weight. It seems simple but works up a sweat. I pair that with some light cardio.
    Best of luck and congratulations!

I am 10 weeks and have the Tracy Anderson pregnancy project and it is so hard! I am an active and fit person who exercised at least 4 days a week before being pregnant. It's not cardio at all just a TON of kicks and small arm exercises. It definitely gets your heart pumping but not for me. She must be a ballet dance person who can move in funky ways but this momma can't do it ; good luck!
  • I'm 6 weeks I'm running doing Les Mills Pump from beachbody workouts. No complaints thus far, but I will just modify as my baby grows
  • I'm doing yoga and loving it (although I'm only 4 weeks3 days along), also I have added in some squats and lunges becasue I heard they are really good to do while pregnant, as well as some light arm weights exercises. Congratulations on your pregnancy!
