Pussycat

What's your pedigree downstairs?

Sphinx, Persian, or somewhere in between? Or do you go ah la K9 and create some sort of poodle masterpiece?

Also, what would freak you out down in the nethers? I once saw a woman at the gym with initials buzzed in, just wrong IMO...

ETA: wanted to add that I'm curious because my friend said that I should be "worried" if DH finds it attractive that I have no hair down below. Apparently this means he is attracted to children. We may not be friends any more...

    Sphinx.

DH likes it that way because he thinks it's more sanitary. I kinda agree with him. I just remember how nasty I thought it was before I shaved when I have a lot of CM or AF, so I feel like I'm cleaner if I have no hair.

Mine goes through a variety of stages. Sometimes it's bare, sometimes it's groomed, sometimes full afro, sometimes a patch. Depends on my mood and what I want from DH.

    Your friend sounds pretty cvvnty.

    This exactly.

Although, I tend to go completely bare when I'm on my period. It just seems more clean to me. One of these days I'm going to actually go get a Brazilian instead of just talking about doing it.

Are you asking if she's single? She isn't, she's married. But either way she was definitely bitchy about it.

Before my kids I had it completely bare and this was true even during my second pregnancy.  Now, I just shave the sides and top and keep it trimmed.  I like it sooo much better this way.  I get a lot of bumps and irritation from shaving and honestly I think I look more like a woman and less like a little girl.  This may be a UO, but I think bare pussies look bizarre on a grown woman.  I also think hairless male pubic regions are weird, too.

Sphinx. Always sphinx. I got used to doing it in high school because of competitive swimming and just continued doing it. Much cleaner and less fussy than letting it grow. And I think it's just kinder to DH- I wouldn't want to go down on a mound of fuzz, or any fuzz really.

    Your friend can suck it.

Nothing.  As in, I do nothing to it.  No waxing, no shaving, no trimming.  I've done the occasional wax, but there's not enough there to worry about it.  With no maintenance at all, it's neat enough to wear a swimsuit without showing anything.

I'm just not very hairy overall.  I shaved my legs this morning, and it'll be Monday night before there's a hint of stubble.

    Your friend is disgusting!

I can't shave it all off because I get insane razor burn. I have tried every razor, creme, gel, whatever, my skin just doesn't tolerate it. I used to do it anyway because I thought DH would prefer it, he actually asked me to stop because he hated seeing me in so much pain & discomfort. At this point I keep it trimmed & neat.

I think I would fall out laughing if I saw someone with initials buzzed in.

I get that a lot!  I really think it's because as a child my legs were so hairy, my mom let me use Nair when I was 9.  When I started getting hair "there" I didn't know any better so I put some Nair there too.  I think using it at such a young age destroyed the hair follicles.  Or it could just be that all my body hair is concentrated on my head.  I've got some wicked eyebrows that require constant maintenance.

I have a friend who has only ever used Nair and she has the downiest, softest hair that takes, like, 5 days to grow in.

Meanwhile, Nair seems to do nothing to my extremely coarse hair, so I am stuck shaving I guess.

As for the bikini-line question, I used to go all bare all the time until I got tired of the razor bumps and ingrown hairs. Now I pretty much just do it when I want DH to get the message that it's time for a looooooong, involved oral session. It's nice to have a code for that.

Same here! I feel so much cleaner! Especially during those times of the month! I have heard one of my guy friends admit that he prefers women with some hair because he feels more attracted to a women with hair and he also thinks it makes her look more like a woman. I thought that was odd, but this isn't the first time I have heard people make this type of comment. I know tons of women my age who keep it bare and I don't expect any of their DHs (or mine) to find children attractive. Shame on her.

Just under 30 here and complete 70s bush. Firstly because my skin is sensitive and also I feel like the hair is there for a reason, like eyelashes, to protect the lady bits. I get way fewer UTIs and other feminine problems with hair than without. Secondly, I hate the way bare looks on me. I have curvy hips and feel as though bare makes me look really wide. Just makes me feel massively unsexy. I used to take it all off every once in a while for H, but I e plained how much I don't like it, so probably haven't done it in 2 years. I will trim it if I have to wear a swimsuit, and I mean trim with scissors, not eith a beard trimmer. I also haven't shaved my legs in 6 weeks and haven't done under my arms probably since our wedding, so about 6 months, I honestly can't remember. I do get my eyebrows done every 6 weeks when I get my hair dyed, and do upkeep that. Of course, my H is a hairy dude, as have been most guys I've dated. I like chest hair I can run my fingers over and through, just feels very virile and masculine. Maybe an unpop op...

Also, forgot to add, I'm really hoping that I don't have to get shaved during childbirth because I don't want to deal with the itchy growing out while everything else is going on. That sounds hellish. Also, unless I end up with a C section, I don't see the need for it, surely a doc can differentiate between my bush and a baby's head.

I choose to go bare, for completely asexual reasons. My husband's opinion, frankly, doesn't even enter into the equation.

People always say this and I really don't get why. I've got a woman's body, my vagina doesn't look like a little kid's regardless of the amount of hair on it.

I choose to go bare, for completely asexual reasons. My husband's opinion, frankly, doesn't even enter into the equation.

Yes This is exactly what I was telling my friend the other day!  I don't look like a little girl, I look like a woman.  A grown woman's labia/ lower half of her body does not look like a little girl's labia/ lower half of her body, even when the grown woman goes bald.

FTR: I think someone who is concerned about their husband confusing their shaved region with a little girls' probably has bigger issues on her hands.

    My thoughts exactly.

I used to shave it bare, but got tired of the razor bumps. Now it's a landing strip that is trimmed short. I don't do it because of DH, I do it because I think it looks better aesthetically.

I had a heart shape for valentines day. I like it bare but hate the razed burn... So it's usually just trimmed.

That's fine if you want to shave it bare.  I really don't care what other women do to their pubic hair.  I just think it looks weird.  Like I said, I think men who are bare look weird, too.  Trimmed and neat it one thing, but completely no hair is weird to me (now it is anyway, it didn't used to be obvs because I used to do it).  It's just a personal observation.

Sphinx when I am not lazy about it.  I don't like to shave all the time because my skin will get irritated.

It really depends on my mood.  Sometimes I'm bare, sometimes I'm sporting a 70s style bush, mostly somewhere in between.  I have gotten creative and tried shaving it into a fun shape.  I only ever mastered an arrow.

I used to shave it bare all the time, but would end up with terrible irritation.
