A/C went out today

I'm paranoid because our bedrooms are upstairs and according to the baby monitor which i'm not sure how accurate it is, DS's room is 79 right now. I have a small fan blowing on his crib and only put him in a sleeper but I'm freaking out he'll get too overheated. Has anyone gone through this or have any advice? Hopefully I'm just overreacting. Someone's supposed to come look at it tomorrow and it's supposed to be cooler tomorrow thank God! Not a fun day!

We keep our AC at 80. Ds' room [according to baby monitor] is usually between 78 and 81. I keep his fan on all night and he sleeps in a t shirt and shorts or a tank and shorts. No blanket, unless i wake up in the middle of the night and put a very thin swaddle blanket on him. I would have him sleep in just a diaper but if he's not wearing shorts then he tries taking his diaper off. He's a very hot sleeper though.

A/C on 80????? I would die! I am sweating with ours on 72. DD has the hottest room in the house. According to the monitor its 75 in her room. She sleeps in short sleeves and shorts.

It got down to 75 in his room last night but think I'll put them lighter on him tonight. I was paranoid all night about him so slept like crap. It's supposed to be a high of 70 here today so hopefully it won't get too hot upstairs. I'm with you Jesselayne we keep our house at 67 at night so I'm dying!

We don't have central air. During the summer we use a window unit in DD's room, but it is still way to early for that here. The few days we have had warm weather DD's room has gotten up to 80. It's about that temp when I put her to bed. Our nights get cool so we still put her in lightweight sleeper pjs. By the time we get her up in the morning the room is about 75. Even in the sleeper pjs she doesn't overheat...actually her little feet are like ice in the morning. So anyway try not to worry, your DS will be fine. I hope your AC gets fixed soon though. It stinks when things like that break.

Thank you, that makes me feel better. I'm scared to know how much it's going to cost to fix it, guess we'll find out today. We just moved in 2 months ago, sucks big time!

Our upstairs with all the bedrooms gets hot too with no a/c on. Last night at bedtime DS1's egg temp thing said 78. He slept in underpants and DS2 in the room right next door slept in a diaper and shorts. they each had a small fan on the other side of their rooms to help the air circulate. If I start to feel cool in the night I just check on them and add layers as needed.

At least the temps are cooler this weekend. Last year when it was 90100 in July the electricity at our cabin was out for over 5 days when we were there. My brother was there on vacation with us and had his 4 month old with us. Luckily we got a generator 24 hours after it happened but yeah it was miserable for a day but everyone was ok! Hope you get it fixed soon.

I know, now I wish it was 30 degrees out again! But I will take the cloudy and 60 today, windows are open upstairs and it's nice. I can't imagine 90 to 100 with no a/c and a small baby....I guess it could be worse, it could've gone out tuesday when it was 93 here, gross!

I hope you can get it fixed for cheap soon! Alex sleeps in a fleece footed PJ and our a/c is set to 75 day and night. He's never hot when I get him.
