Socks

Has anyone found socks that actually stay on your LOs feet? If so, what kind/brand?

DD starts daycare next week so I don't want to lose all her socks. On that note, she's obviously not walking yet (so no shoes) and since the warm weather is fast approaching, I guess I'll just send her to daycare barefoot?

I haven't found any that really stay on, if they don't fall off from DS kicking them off he pulls them off, LOL!

Now that it is warmer I send him barefoot to d/c (it's an in-home d/c). She also has a spare set of socks there on hand in case she feels he needs some.

I'll be interested to hear recommendations!

Yeah, barefoot is just easier. Once my LO got to walking, I put initials on all of her socks (I sewed it in), because we were going through WAY too many socks either getting lost, or given to other kids. Like two or three packs a month. Ridiculous.

Carter's brand stay on until she pulls them off, lol. I don't think there is anything I can do about that, though. Now that it is warm she is usually just barefoot.

Thanks all! Yes I'll probably just send her barefoot to daycare. For some reason, I know this is dumb, I wasn't sure if that would be OK. Like she wouldn't be allowed in or something LOL

I bought my little guy some fruit of the loom fitted short socks on amazon and they actually do a pretty good job at staying on. Lately with the weather being warmer I usually pick-up him up and our provider has taken them off at some point. She knows exactly where they are, but lately they have been off. The weather is nice so I don't mind.

We found some at Target-I'm pretty sure they're Hanes. They look just like adult ankle-style socks. They're about $8 for a 6-pack, but they're the only ones that stay on. (Although he now yanks them off anyway, so he can chew on his toes.) But at least they stay on while he's sleeping!

I love trumpette! I think they work the best. I also found some at Ollie's Bargain Outlet (if you have this store) for $5 for a 4 pack which was a steal. They had both boys and girls. They were called noodles by trumpette. I have heard Robeez work too but haven't tried them.

I got socks at children's place. They are supposed to be folded down but I pull them all the way up the girls' thighs and put the pants on over top and they stay put!

Faded glory from Walmart. No joke. Super cheap and stay on better than anything else I have tried. However, my daughter now figured out how to get them off, so sometimes she takes them off. You are out of luck when this happens...

Old Navy are they only ones we have that always stay up. And the size is printed on the bottomgreat for sorting hand me downs.

Faded glory stay on really well and so do Robeez. Never had a problem with those. The ones that roll over she pulls off and just her kicking makes them loose. I too just pull them all the way up but it doesn't last long.

I have a pair of zutano booties that I keep at daycare. They're a little pricy ($20 on amazon), but they're fantastic and they never fall off. I got fleece ones for the winter, but she's about to grow out of them - next size up will be cotton sometime in the next month. They put them on if her feet feel cold, but otherwise she's barefoot. That way I don't have to worry about tiny socks all the time, and I bring them home every Friday to wash them over the weekend.

I bought a pack of Sonoma brand socks from Kohls. They are higher with cuffs and stay on really well.

We use any kind of socks, and just have a few pairs of Sock Ons (nylon little holders for socks) that we use every day. They're on Amazon. I'm obsessed.
